Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
34 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nir Sosa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, KJ Talley! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Talley connects with a body shot. Talley fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Sosa checks it well. Sosa half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Talley throws a predictable looking body shot
and Sosa counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Talley is looking to improve his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Talley just trying to survive but Sosa is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Talley tries to escape the position.

Sosa has the hooks in. Talley is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Talley tries to get to full guard but Sosa has control of the leg. Well, if Sosa is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Talley trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Sosa manages to pass to mount!

Sosa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Talley can do to turn this around? Sosa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Talley can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Talley wants to hold on but Sosa pushes him away. Sosa looking to control and managing it successfully. Talley regains half guard. Talley controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Sosa is thwarting Talley's attempts to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Talley might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sosa haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Sosa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sosa attempts a counter takedown but Talley avoids it well and moves away. Talley pushes Sosa away with a front kick. KJ Talley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sosa feinted with a counter takedown. Talley looks to throw a body kick so Sosa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Talley is trying to hold Sosa in close to prevent damage but Sosa has managed to pass into half guard.

Sosa moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Talley is trying to improve his position. Sosa just content to control the position. KJ Talley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Talley throws a body shot but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Talley throws an overhand right that lands on Sosa's shoulder, as Sosa tries to avoid the shot. Talley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sosa.
Sosa drops down looking for a counter takedown but Talley sprawls and moves away. A punch combination from Talley misses. Sosa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Talley.
Sosa changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Sosa on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Talley throws a poor cross that misses
and Sosa counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Talley wants to control but Sosa is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight! Nir Sosa showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sosa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Storm throws a series of punches but Ford avoids them all with ease. A punch combination from Storm misses. We've been hearing reports that Storm has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Ford scores with a jab to the head.
Ford drives through and clinches with Storm against the cage.

Ford lands an elbow that stopped Storm in his tracks for a moment. Ford goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Storm looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A nice right hand lands inside from Ford. Ford scores with a shot to the side of Storm's head. This has been an exciting period of action! Both fighters working to control the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ford takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Storm's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Still in the clinch, Ford scores with a nice short uppercut. Storm manages to break the clinch.
Storm misses with a wild body shot. Ford swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Storm throws a sloppy head kick and Ford counters with a nice kick to the body.

Storm has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ford finds it's way round the side to connect with Storm's head. Storm throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ford counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Storm throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Storm is breathing heavily. Nice straight punches there by Ford. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ford. Storm throws a sloppy head kick and Ford counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ford lands a head kick!

Storm wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Ford comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Ford lands a body punch in the clinch. Ford creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Storm's defenses. Ford has Storm pressed against the cage, preventing Storm from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

and Ford counters with a nice body shot. Ford lands a left and a right that send Storm crashing to the mat, dazed. Ford thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Storm throws a combination that misses and Ford cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Storm is rocked! Ford shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Storm takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Ford sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Storm bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alan Ford! In his post fight interview, Alan Ford started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

McGuire Jr walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Turnbull checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. McGuire Jr connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Turnbull momentarily.

Turnbull fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McGuire Jr manages to avoid it. McGuire Jr scoring well with a low kick there.

Turnbull throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McGuire Jr on the side of the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Turnbull checks a leg kick. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Turnbull! But no joy. Colin Turnbull is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McGuire Jr scores with a nice strike. Turnbull clinches with his opponent.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McGuire Jr checks the leg kick. McGuire Jr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Turnbull can do to turn this around? That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Turnbull takes a swing at McGuire Jr's ribcage but misses. Turnbull leaves McGuire Jr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. McGuire Jr steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Turnbull. Turnbull scores with a three punch combo!

Turnbull throws a nice inside leg kick. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting McGuire Jr here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Turnbull throws a looping overhand right but McGuire Jr ducks down to avoid it. Turnbull throws a low kick but McGuire Jr moves out of range easily. McGuire Jr's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Turnbull connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McGuire Jr scrambles back to his feet.

Turnbull tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McGuire Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Turnbull. Turnbull catches McGuire Jr with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! McGuire Jr connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. McGuire Jr moves out of range of the leg kick from Turnbull. McGuire Jr walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Turnbull checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Ralph McGuire Jr is winning the standup battle so far. McGuire Jr clinches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Sten breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sten lands a jab. Sten tries to land a front kick but Takeshi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Sten dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Takeshi. That did some damage! Sten scoring well with a low kick there.
Takeshi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Takeshi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Takeshi trying to control the action but Sten is working from the bottom. Sten is controlling Takeshi's position as best he can from this difficult position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sten tries to roll over but Takeshi keeps him under control. Takeshi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sten with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Takeshi wants to take a breather but Sten is having none of it. Takeshi prevents Sten from improving his position. Sten told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Takeshi is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Sten!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dhamma moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Nice sprawl there from Machine as Dhamma shoots in. Machine seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Machine throws an ugly left hook that misses
so Dhamma counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Machine is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Dhamma presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. A knee to the head by Machine.
Machine is defending well against a takedown attempt. Dhamma goes for a takedown in the clinch but Machine prevents it.
Rock Machine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yogi Dhamma. Dhamma is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Machine pulls him back up using the underhooks. Machine lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dhamma backwards. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Machine decides to pull guard. Dhamma won't allow Machine to sweep him here.

My spies in Hard Knocks Training inform me that Dhamma has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Machine looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dhamma gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Machine clinches.

Dhamma changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Dhamma uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Machine. Machine thows a leg kick but Dhamma checks it and Dhamma holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Dhamma tries for a takedown but Machine manages to get underhooks.
Machine gets control of Dhamma's arms and successfully pulls guard. Machine will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Dhamma pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Machine is keeping the position for now.

And Dhamma tries to counter it with a takedown but Machine pushes his down on his head and steps out. Machine buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mars throws a hook to the side of Giantsbane's head but Giantsbane sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Giantsbane misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mars looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Giantsbane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Giantsbane tries for a takedown but Mars sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Good leg kick by Mars there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Mars throws a leg kick which misses Giantsbane's front leg but catches the back leg as Giantsbane tries to avoid it. Giantsbane looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Giantsbane moves out of range of the body kick. Giantsbane fails with a takedown attempt. Giantsbane throws a series of punches but Mars avoids them all with ease. Mars bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Giantsbane's head. The crowd cheers as Mars lands an impressive looking overhand right. Giantsbane doesn't seem phased though. Giantsbane takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mars scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A head kick misses from Mars. Giantsbane drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mars defends it well. Mars tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Giantsbane manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Giantsbane throws a looping overhand right but Mars ducks down to avoid it. Mars misses with a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mars looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

It looks like Vincent Mars has been cut. Giantsbane takes a kick to the side of the head. Mars moves in looking to clinch but Giantsbane pushes him off. Vincent Mars seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mars connects with a solid leg kick. Sloppy strikes from Giantsbane. Those never looked like landing. Mars walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Giantsbane checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Mars lands with a kick to the temple. Giantsbane shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Mars connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Giantsbane to the floor! Mars dives in looking for the finish!
Giantsbane is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mars prevents Giantsbane from improving his position. Giantsbane is still in real trouble! Can Mars finish him? Mars is thwarting Giantsbane's attempts to control the position. Giantsbane seems to have recovered his senses. Mars will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mars wants to free his trapped foot but Giantsbane is holding on for dear life with his legs. Mars throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. That was a close fourth round but I would say that Stasius Venom will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Sloppy strikes from Venom. Those never looked like landing. The Convict lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Venom takes a shot to the body in his stride.

It looked like Venom was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from The Convict. Venom dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on The Convict. That did some damage! Venom finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

The Convict tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Venom throws a hook but The Convict avoids it easily. Venom connects with a leg kick. The Convict looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. The Convict looks to land a left hand but Venom moved out of range nicely. Venom half committed to a counter leg kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Venom. That's going to slow The Convict down. Venom fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt The Convict. Well Venom has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
