1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonny Blaze! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaze leaves Akinfenwa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Akinfenwa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blaze pinned against the cage. Blaze gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Blaze throws a right and a left that Akinfenwa avoids nicely. Akinfenwa drops down looking for a counter takedown but Blaze sprawls and moves away. Akinfenwa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blaze sprawls well. Blaze wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Akinfenwa gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Idriss Akinfenwa. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blaze misses with a wild combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Blaze throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Akinfenwa has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Some wild striking there from Blaze.
Akinfenwa half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. A left and a right from Blaze both land. Nice combination. Blaze fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Blaze has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Akinfenwa darts in looking for a takedown but Blaze gets double underhooks and turns Akinfenwa into the cage. A decent looking body kick lands there for Blaze. Akinfenwa takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Blaze looks winded!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blaze drives through with a takedown into Akinfenwa's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Akinfenwa uses the cage to get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Akinfenwa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Blaze to score with a decent uppercut. Akinfenwa looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Blaze! Akinfenwa is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Blaze is trying to escape and Akinfenwa transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Blaze is forced to tap! Nice work there by Akinfenwa! Very nice indeed!

Idriss Akinfenwa decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fiachra MacNeill! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santana jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Fiachra MacNeill has been cut. MacNeill drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from MacNeill. MacNeill's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Santana connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! MacNeill scrambles back to his feet. Santana lands a really nice looking cross but MacNeill seems unphased.
MacNeill tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Santana manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. MacNeill moves to clinch but Santana breaks away and Santana counters with a crisp right that sends MacNeill to the canvas! Santana follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jon gets caught flat footed, as Perez Jr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Jon has his feet on Perez Jr's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Alejandro Perez Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Perez Jr drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jon throws Perez Jr to one side and escapes! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Perez Jr gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Perez Jr is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Perez Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jon on the ground. Jon trying to control the position from guard on top but Perez Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Jon trying to move into half guard but instead Perez Jr has managed to sweep!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jon working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Perez Jr. Perez Jr throws an elbow that misses. Jon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Perez Jr's guard. Nice move by Jon! Jon won't allow Perez Jr to get back to his feet. Jon stands up from Perez Jr's guard - Jon perhaps looking for a knockout. Jon wants to clinch up but Perez Jr keeps it at a distance. Perez Jr throws a hook to the side of Jon's head but Jon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jon appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Perez Jr fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jon to the ground. Perez Jr is now in Jon's guard. Jon has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Perez Jr is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Perez Jr lands a takedown into guard.
Jon has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Perez Jr has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jon goes for a takedown attempt but Perez Jr pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Perez Jr gets a takedown into half guard. Jon makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Jon looks winded! Jon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Pedro Jon has been cut. Jon looks to score with a jab to the body but Perez Jr is just out of range. Perez Jr scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Perez Jr lands a brutal uppercut that launches Jon off his feet! Jon tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Norris misses with a takedown attempt and Carpe holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Carpe is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Norris gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Norris pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Carpe lands a hook to the side of the head. Norris wants the takedown. Carpe is fighting it off but Norris persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Carpe's guard against the cage. Norris has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Carpe is proving hard to escape from. Carpe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Norris postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Norris works a leg free and moves into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Norris is working for a submission of some sort.
Carpe won't allow Norris to pass to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Norris seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carpe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Carpe wants to get back to his feet.
Norris is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Norris seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Norris is looking to take a break and control but Carpe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Carpe wants to improve his position but Norris is controlling well.
Carpe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Norris on the ground. Carpe makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Carpe throws a combination that misses and Norris counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Carpe! Norris controlling the position from side mount. Carpe is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Norris postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Norris wants to stand but Carpe has his arm trapped. Carpe is not content to let Norris control the position. Norris in side control, throwing shots but Carpe defends. Norris wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carpe keeps working. Carpe is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Carpe trying to remain calm as Norris controls from the top position. Norris wants to stand but Carpe has his arm trapped.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Carpe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Carpe is looking to score with low kicks. Carpe closes the distance and clinches up with Norris, looking for a takedown. Carpe pushes Norris against the cage but Norris circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Carpe throws a sloppy head kick and Norris counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carpe won't be happy with that. Carpe seems a little lost for a moment, as Norris dominates the positioning. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Norris tries to advance to mount but Carpe denies him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Norris dominated that round. That's time! Carpe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Norris darts in looking for a takedown but Carpe gets double underhooks and turns Norris into the cage. Norris blocks a head kick by Carpe.
Norris is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. A good leg kick by Carpe. Norris goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Carpe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carpe wants it to stay on the feet. Carpe scores with a nice strike. Norris stuffs the takedown attempt from Carpe. Carpe gets slowly back to his feet. Carpe dives in and scores a takedown into Norris's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carpe wanted to stand there but Norris had control of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Norris trying to strike off his back.

Justin Carpe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fight moves into the clinch position. Carpe manages to break the clinch.
Carpe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Norris. Norris throws a jab but it's blocked by Carpe. Carpe fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Carpe looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Norris gets the takedown into side control. Carpe tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Norris trying to control. Carpe is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Norris.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teller lands a head kick!
Teller's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ruhian connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Teller scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Fubar Teller has been cut. Teller fails to land the takedown. Ruhian throws a poor cross that misses
and Teller counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ruhian keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Teller scores with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A low kick from Ruhian is predictable there and Teller decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ruhian's guard. Teller drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Teller jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Teller prevents Ruhian from getting back to his feet. Ruhian has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Bonsai Club MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ruhian can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Teller trying to move into half guard but instead Ruhian has managed to sweep! Ruhian postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ruhian wants to stand and escape but instead Teller has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Teller won't allow Ruhian to get back to his feet. Teller cracks Ruhian with a solid left hand. Teller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruhian swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ruhian is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ruhian tries to stand and escape but Teller is controlling the position. Ruhian throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Ruhian wants to control but Teller is keeping him busy. Teller keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Teller is not content to let Ruhian control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Teller wants to control but Ruhian is keeping busy.
Teller is trying to get back to full guard. Teller looking for submissions off his back. Teller makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Teller. Teller wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Teller preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ruhian trying to control but Teller is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ruhian with a flurry of punches that miss. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Teller throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ruhian really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Teller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Teller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ruhian's guard. Teller wants to control from the top but Ruhian keeps moving. Teller won't allow Ruhian to sweep him here. Teller slips nicely into half guard. Ruhian is trying to get back to full guard. Ruhian is looking to escape. Teller sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ruhian defending well though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Teller winds up and cracks Ruhian with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Ruhian wants to sweep but Teller has passed to side control! Teller is putting a hurting on Ruhian here, landing some big shots from side control. Teller wants to control but Ruhian is keeping him busy. Ruhian is looking to reverse the position. Teller works to advance to full mount. Ruhian defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Teller is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Ruhian is rocked! Teller raining down hammerfists from mount. Ruhian is still in real trouble! Can Teller finish him? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Teller trying to control but he's not successful this time. Teller landing strikes from the mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Teller takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Teller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Teller connects with a bit shot that sees Ruhian covering up! More strikes from Teller and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Teller is our winner by TKO!

Wai Ping clinches up against the cage. Wai Ping misses with a knee to the head. Wai Ping throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Alexanders head. Wai Ping tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Alexander breaks from the clinch.
Wai Ping fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Alexander swinging wildly here.
The fighters circling - Alexander throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Wai Ping rushes Alexander and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Wai Ping drops down looking for an ankle pick but Alexander pulls his leg out and moves away.
Alexander missing with a left hand there. Wai Ping was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jab by Wai Ping. Wai Ping throws a lazy uppercut
and Alexander counters with a lovely straight right hand! Alexander keeps the fight on the outside. An attempted straight right counter from Alexander misses the target.

Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Danga de danga de dang - Watson scores with a four punch combination! Ciprianni takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. The fighters circling - Watson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ciprianni tries a quick counter leg kick but Watson is wise to it. And that's the end of the fight! John Watson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Watson, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
