1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Artur Kornik! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Viv darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Viv thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Viv missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Viv throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kornik blocking the ground and pound attempt from Viv. We've been hearing that Viv has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Kornik tries to kick Viv off but Viv keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Viv throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kornik is trying to stand.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kornik can do anything to dispel that myth. Viv missing with the ground and pound from half guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kornik tries to escape but Viv is in control. Viv has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Viv throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Kornik wants to get back to his feet but Viv drags him back down. Kornik really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Viv. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kornik avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Viv. Viv tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Viv misses with the ground and pound. Kornik dodges the ground and pound from Viv. Kornik is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Viv asserts his dominance and retains side control. Viv throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Viv sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Kornik is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Kornik is trying to get back to his feet. Viv tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Viv working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Viv is putting a hurting on Kornik here, landing some big shots from side control. The ground and pound from Viv seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Kornik parries the strikes from Viv easily there. Viv is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kornik to escape.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Viv takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kornik. Kornik has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Viv gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kornik counters with a straight right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chosu Viv. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kornik lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Viv has a takedown stuffed. Kornik is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Viv with a body shot. Kornik throws out a powerful jab. Viv tries for a takedown but Kornik sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Despite the aggression on Kornik's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Viv is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kornik sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Viv is breathing heavily. Kornik shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kornik was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Kornik is looking to take a break and control but Viv is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Chosu Viv will probably get the nod. That's time! Viv's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kornik shoots in and bounces Viv off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Viv wants to stand but Kornik is controlling the position. Viv keeping moving, preventing Kornik from controlling successfully. Viv wants to stand and escape but Kornik is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Viv is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Viv wants to stand but Kornik is controlling the position. Kornik content to stall in guard here. Kornik must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Viv wants to get back to his feet but Kornik is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Viv striking off his back. Viv thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kornik dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Artur Kornik seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kornik displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Viv. Kornik looks like he wants to counter punch here. Viv gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Viv takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kornik throws a good cross that connects.
Viv will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chosu Viv. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Viv looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kornik looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Kornik uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Viv has time to react.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Viv shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kornik wants to get back to his feet.
Kornik manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Viv keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kornik breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chosu Viv seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Viv with a lazy takedown attempt and Kornik connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Viv shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kornik sprawls well. Kornik wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Viv gets slowly back to his feet. Kornik lands a jab. Viv has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Viv goes for a double leg but Kornik avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kornik continues to drive forward. Viv looking to score a takedown here. Kornik is defending well but Viv drives through and ends up in Kornik's guard. Kornik pushes Viv off and scrambles back to his feet.
Viv takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kornik dips to his left and cracks Viv with an uppercut! Kornik lands the left hand. Kornik connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Viv momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kornik closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kornik lands in his opponent's guard. Viv trying to keep a closed guard but Kornik is proving a slippery customer.
Kornik gets to his feet. Viv looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Viv fails with a takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Viv shoots in and drives through. Kornik sprawls well. Kornik let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Kornik closes the distance and lands a one-two. Kornik shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Viv's guard. Viv has his feet on Kornik's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Kornik closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Viv to the mat! Viv manages to get full guard. Viv is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kornik is controlling him. Kornik tries to free his leg and advance position but Viv is retaining full guard. Viv has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kornik can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kornik is working Viv over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Viv wants to get back to his feet but Kornik is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Artur Kornik showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Kornik shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Viv's guard. Viv looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Viv trying to control the position from guard on top but Kornik is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kornik has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Viv postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kornik preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kornik pushes Viv off and gets back to his feet.

Viv throws a big elbow that misses. Kornik manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Kornik's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Viv darts in looking for a takedown but Kornik gets double underhooks and turns Viv into the cage. Viv tries for a takedown but Kornik sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chosu Viv. That's going to take a lot out of him. Viv fails with the takedown and Kornik cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Viv fails to land with a series of punches.
Viv takes one to the chin there. Kornik tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Viv manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Viv changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Kornik connects with a looping right hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Viv looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Viv looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Kornik lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Kornik slaps away a takedown attempt from Viv, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kornik looking to score a takedown here. Viv is defending well but Kornik drives through and ends up in Viv's guard. Kornik postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Viv wants to stand and escape but Kornik is having none of it. Kornik controls from within his opponent's guard. Kornik stands up from Viv's guard - Kornik perhaps looking for a knockout. Viv takes one to the chin there.
And that's the end of the fight! Artur Kornik comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kornik has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baracus throws a quick inside leg kick. A jab from Rodgers finds it's way through Baracus's defenses. Baracus pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rodgers is out of range and Baracus settles back down. Baracus throws a push kick but Rodgers slaps the foot to one side. Baracus throws a leg kick and Rodgers counters with a crisp right hand that drops Baracus! Rodgers lets Baracus back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

It looks like Danger Mouse has been cut. Mouse gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Mouse walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Tubridy throws a right and a left that Mouse avoids nicely. Mouse fails with a takedown attempt from distance. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mouse has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Mouse walks into a jab. Tubridy tries to clinch up. Mouse only half commits to the counter leg kick. Tubridy connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Tubridy has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Holding Cell in the buildup to the fight. Mouse rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tubridy moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A little feinted left hand from Tubridy on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Mouse has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mouse there as he acknowledges the shot.
Mouse is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tubridy moves in close and cracks Mouse with a massive right hand! Mouse, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Tubridy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ryan Tubridy! A very excited looking Ryan Tubridy rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Zinsou gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The Beast is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The Beast pushes a forearm under Zinsou's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Zinsou is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
