I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that George Conor Russell was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Darius Machnacz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, George Conor Russell! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machnacz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Russell is fending him off so far but Machnacz persists. Nope, Russell circles away and we're back to standing. Russell is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Machnacz misses with a takedown attempt - Russell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Machnacz shoots and misses and Russell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darius Machnacz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Russell stuffs the takedown attempt from Machnacz. Machnacz gets slowly back to his feet. Machnacz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Russell has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Russell keeps the fight on the outside. Sloppy strikes from Russell. Those never looked like landing. Russell lands a left and a right that send Machnacz crashing to the mat, dazed. Russell thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Darius Machnacz has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Russell misses with a double jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machnacz closes the distance and pushes Russell back into the cage. Russell manages to break the clinch.
Russell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Machnacz. Machnacz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Russell counters with a nice uppercut. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Machnacz is defended easily by Russell. Russell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Russell sends Machnacz crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Russell is motioning to the referee to let Machnacz up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Russell plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Machnacz to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Machnacz just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Byrd circles away from the clinch attempt and Byrd counters with a crisp one two that drops Vytautas! Byrd thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Vytautas to his feet! Vytautas is in big trouble!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammer misses with a combination
and Ossas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hammer thinking. Hammer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hammer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hammer controls the position from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ossas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hammer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hammer tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hammer grinds an elbow into Ossas's temple. Hammer tries for a kimura but Ossas is defending well. Hammer really is a fat lump.

Hammer is looking to advance position but Ossas won't allow it. Hammer stands up and beckons Ossas to join him on the feet. Ossas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Hammer fails with a takedown attempt. Ossas lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ossas lands with a good body shot. Ossas has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Ossas goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Hammer wants to clinch but Ossas slips to the side and Ossas counters with a nice body shot. Ossas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hammer takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hammer takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ossas scores with a one two! Hammer had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Hammer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ossas let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Ossas cracks Hammer with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Wuzz! But no joy. Wuzz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Watson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Wuzz throws a hook but Watson avoids it easily. A cross from Wuzz lands. Wuzz avoids the body shot from Watson.
Watson looks to score with a jab to the body but Wuzz is just out of range. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wuzz takes the fight into the clinch. A short right from Watson. Watson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Wuzz is keeping busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! David Wuzz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wuzz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
