Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Skog! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mario Puzo! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puzo takes the fight into the clinch. Puzo breaks the clinch.
Skog clinches up against the cage. Skog's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Skog blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Puzo blocks a body shot from Skog. Puzo lands a nice shot to the body. Skog breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Skog throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Puzo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Puzo looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Skog cracks Puzo with a good jab. Puzo clinches up with Skog and pushes him back against the cage. Skog tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Puzo has a couple of punches blocked by Skog.
This has been an exciting period of action! Skog's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Skog attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Skog jabs at Puzo's body. Puzo connects with the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Puzo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. As Puzo backs away, Skog returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Puzo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Skog.
Puzo avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Skog. Skog slips under a jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Puzo. Skog does a little dance to reset his feet. Skog shoots in for a takedown but Puzo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Skog feints and then cracks Puzo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Puzo down. Puzo throws a shot from downtown. Skog moves away and avoids it. Puzo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Puzo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Skog misses with a low kick. Puzo tests Skog's chin there with a solid looking shot. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Skog. Skog misses with an uppercut. A countering left hand to the body from Puzo misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skog throws a nice inside leg kick. Skog keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Puzo. Skog throws a push kick but Puzo slaps the foot to one side. Puzo tries to keep at a distance but Skog has taken the fight into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Skog escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Puzo misses with an uppercut. Puzo misses with a straight right. Skog blocks a head kick by Puzo.
Skog lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Puzo misses with a straight left. Skog shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Puzo is trying to stand back up but Skog is controlling him
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skog missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. We've been hearing that Skog has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Skog takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Skog looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Puzo looks like he's trying to stand up.
Puzo is positioning himself well to prevent Skog advancing to mount. Puzo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Skog throwing shots but Puzo is blocking nicely. Skog seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Puzo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Skog slows the pace down in half guard. Skog wants to take a breather but Puzo is having none of it. Skog trying to control from Puzo's half guard. Puzo has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Skog throws a big elbow that misses. Skog preventing the sweep. Skog content to stall in guard here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Puzo keeping moving, preventing Skog from controlling successfully.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dan Skog will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Puzo slips a straight right by Skog. Puzo misses with a body shot.
Puzo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Skog. Skog scores with a decent looking hook. Skog lands with a nice body punch. Skog tries to land a front kick but Puzo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Puzo tries a quick counter leg kick but Skog is wise to it. Puzo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Skog fails with the takedown and Puzo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Skog throws a leg kick that misses. Puzo only half commits to the counter leg kick. Skog is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Puzo. Puzo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Skog. Skog tries a low kick but Puzo avoids it. Skog gets in close and instigates a clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Skog misses with a punch on the inside.

Puzo lands a jab to the nose. Skog swings for the body but Puzo moves out of range.

Skog will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Puzo fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Skog throws a combination that misses and Puzo counters with a lovely straight right hand! Puzo misses the body punch enabling Skog to counter with a crisp jab. Skog loads up on a big right hand but Puzo slips the punch. Puzo throws the left hand but Skog avoids the punch easily. Puzo wants to land a leg kick but Skog is out of range. Puzo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Skog. Skog throws an off balance right hand
and Puzo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Skog throws a body punch but Puzo moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skog cracks Puzo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Dan Skog is winning the standup battle so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Puzo misses with a left hand and Skog counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Skog thows a left - swing and a miss! Puzo only half commits to the counter leg kick. Mario Puzo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Puzo takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Puzo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Puzo looks to clinch and Skog counters with a straight right hand. Skog ducks under a wild hook from Puzo. Puzo staying out of range there. Skog moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromPuzo. Skog clinches. Skog blocks a body shot from Puzo. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Skog. Puzo misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Skog shoots for a double leg takedown but Puzo sprawls well. He's pushed Skog's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Skog shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Skog is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Puzo can do to turn this around? Puzo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Skog. Puzo connects with a body shot. Puzo scores with a nice strike.

Puzo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Puzo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Puzo moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Skog misses with an uppercut

Skog throws a quick inside leg kick. Skog throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Puzo on the side of the head. Nice takedown defense from Puzo. No joy for Skog on that attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Dan Skog will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

A low kick from Skog misses and Skog takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Puzo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Skog's head. Skog gets a clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Puzo looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Skog moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Puzo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Skog connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Puzo scrambles back to his feet. Skog throws a body punch but Puzo moves out of range. Skog moves into the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Skog. Skog fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Mario Puzo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Skog misses with a hook. Puzo ducked under it nicely. Puzo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Skog counters with a straight right hand. Nice shot lands for Skog. Puzo's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Skog stuns Puzo with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Puzo wants to clinch up but Skog keeps it at a distance. Skog misses with a lunging right hand
and Puzo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Puzo sends Skog crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Puzo is motioning to the referee to let Skog up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Dan Skog is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Oh Skog is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Skog rushes Puzo and presses him up against the cage. A short right from Puzo. Puzo lands a big right hand that drops Skog! The killer instinct kicks in and Puzo finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Puzo!

It looks like Armondo Munoz has been cut. Munoz is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Munoz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Munoz slowing the pace effectively. Munoz lands with a short head shot on the inside. Munoz wants to break free but Sumerod has control.
Sumerod drops down looking for an ankle pick but Munoz pulls his leg out and moves away.

Sumerod shoots in but no luck this time. Munoz lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Munoz drives through with a takedown into Sumerod's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Munoz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Sumerod wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Munoz is now in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sumerod tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Munoz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Munoz working the head and body with strikes. Sumerod tries to improve position but can't. Sumerod manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Munoz desperately trying to maintain half guard. Munoz on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Munoz gets back to full guard.

Sumerod chips away with some ground and pound. Sumerod lands a couple of decent looking shots. Munoz is looking to stand up but Sumerod isn't so interested in that idea. Sumerod with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Munoz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Munoz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sumerod throws a big elbow that misses. Sumerod trying to control the position from guard on top but Munoz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sumerod lands a couple of elbows. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sumerod is defended easily by Munoz. Munoz forces Sumerod back against the cage and clinches. Sumerod lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Sumerod has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Munoz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Munoz stalling the fight.
A short right from Munoz on the inside. Sumerod pushes off an throws an elbow but Munoz leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Sumerod is trying to pull guard but Munoz turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Armondo Munoz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aidan Sumerod. A nice glancing elbow lands by Sumerod. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Munoz lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sumerod backwards. Munoz has clasped his hands together around Sumerod's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Sumerod has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This has been an exciting period of action! Sumerod takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Armondo Munoz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. You can see the frustration on Sumerod's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Munoz trying to control the action but Sumerod is working from the bottom.

Sumerod tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sumerod is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sumerod manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Munoz is trying to control but can't.
Munoz is staying active underneath Sumerod, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Munoz is trying to stand up here but Sumerod is controlling him well. Sumerod is looking for a kimura here.

Sumerod throwing shots but Munoz is blocking nicely. Sumerod wants to work for an arm triangle but Munoz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Munoz tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Sumerod has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Sumerod avoids the attempt from Munoz to control. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Sumerod with the ground and pound from mount. Sumerod is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Munoz can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Armondo Munoz's cut is getting worse. Sumerod looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Munoz covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Afridi ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Afridi pivots, looking for a leg kick but Parazinho is out of range and Afridi settles back down. Afridi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Parazinho fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Afridi manages to avoid it. Afridi wants to clinch but Parazinho slips to the side and Parazinho counters with a series of strikes. Afridi will be more careful next time no doubt. Afridi slips a jab and a cross from Parazinho.
Parazinho checks a leg kick nicely. Parazinho bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A little jabbing left from Parazinho on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Afridi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Parazinho, pushing him back against the cage. Afridi throws a punch but it's blocked by Parazinho. Parazinho is leaning against Afridi and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Parazinho blocks an uppercut.

18 - 13 - 3, fighting out of New York, Ray Lennox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Brain Buro! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buro is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lennox. Lennox stalks Buro and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Buro's face. Buro staggers backwards, shaken. A left and a right from Buro both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Ray Lennox has been cut. Buro takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Buro misses with the combination.
Buro's jab looks to have found its range, popping Lennox under the eye. Lennox throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lennox takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Buro scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Buro misses with a hook
letting Lennox counter with a right hand. Lennox misses with an uppercut. Lennox misses with a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buro connects with a single shot there. Lennox jabs at Buro's body. Buro stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Lennox wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Lennox keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lennox's corner calls for a 1-2. Lennox obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Lennox has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Lennox lands with an uppercut that bounces Buro off the cage and back into range.
Buro is rocked! Lennox connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Buro out cold! This one is over in a flash!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blade rushes Perry and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A right hook to the body lands for Blade.
Perry wants a takedown but no success here.
Blade lands a left hand.
Perry is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Blade can't fight it off and eventually Perry manages to take the fight to the floor. Blade looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Blade is looking to stand up but Perry isn't so interested in that idea. Perry sitting in guard, not really doing much. Perry trying to control the position from guard on top but Blade is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blade avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Perry missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Perry throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blade is looking to stand up but Perry isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are working up against the cage. Blade manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Perry has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Blade is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Nice body punch from Blade - that landed with a thud.

Jake Blade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyrie Perry. Blade lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Perry backwards. Blade scores with a shoulder strike. Blade lands with a short shot to the head. Blade lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Blade throws a head punch that misses. Perry is looking to control Blade's arms but Blade gets an underhook and turns him. Now Perry has his back to the cage. Blade lands with a light punch inside. Perry works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Perry working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Perry loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Blade wants to stand but Perry is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blade wants to stand and escape but Perry is having none of it. Perry trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Blade keeping full guard, as Perry tries to pass. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Blade is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Blade misses the shot to the body. Perry tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Blade defends well and Perry ends up having to push Blade into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Perry fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Perry misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Blade.

Blade is trying to stand up here but Perry is controlling him well. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Perry lands a nice short elbow. Perry throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Perry thows a huge punch but Blade dodges it nicely.

That was a close round but I would say that Jake Blade will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Perry throws a looping overhand right but Blade ducks down to avoid it. Perry takes one on the button. Blade closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. He pushes Perry off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Blade tries to clinch up. It seemed like Perry was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Blade manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Blade tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Perry manages to circle out of the way. Perry fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Blade avoids it really well and circles away. Perry takes one to the chin there. Perry walks into a jab. Blade drops Perry with a huge uppercut! Perry drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Blade is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perfect throws out a loose jab but Bone uses good head movement to avoid it. Bone misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Perfect.
Bone looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. As Bone backs off Perfect throws a huge counter combo but Bone manages to avoid it all. A telegraphed right hand from Perfect misses the target. Bone comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Perfect misses with a two punch combination.
Bone connects with a body shot. Bone misses with a leg kick and Perfect counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bone throws a leg kick so Perfect counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Perfect won't allow Bone to sweep him here. Bone is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Perfect defends well. Bone wants to sweep but no luck. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bone is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bone is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bone is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Bone trying to control the position from guard on top but Perfect is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perfect swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bone advances position into side control! Bone is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Perfect has escaped the position, nice work there. Perfect is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Perfect is not content to let Bone control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Perfect avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bone feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bone wants to control from the top but Perfect keeps moving. Joe Bone overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Perfect is trying to keep Bone in close.

Perfect defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Bone is trying to stick to Perfect's back but Perfect is turning into Bone. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bone's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Perfect. Perfect working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bone's head. Bone tries to land a sweep but no joy. Perfect is posturing up here but Bone has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Perfect tries to roll out but it's too tight and Perfect has to tap! Slick submission there by Bone!

Joe Bone seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. Mystery Perfect spoke after the fight, saying 'The fight was too easy and boring, and since my opponent looked like he really wanted the W, I thought I'd put on a show and give him the W.The line's getting longer. Better get back to pleasing them single and taken ladies before they go crazy'.
