Goncalves is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Al Hammad knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Oooooh!!! Pearson has knocked Emelianenko down with a huge combo! Pearson steps away and waves a wobbly Emelianenko back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Fedor Emelianenko has been cut.

Pearson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Project:X Fight Team in the buildup to the fight.

James Pearson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fedor Emelianenko.
Pearson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Emelianenko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Pearson drops Emelianenko with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Emelianenko looks back up at him and smiles so Pearson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Pearson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Emelianenko looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Emelianenko switches off momentarily and Pearson cracks him with a monster right hand! Emelianenko topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Pearson dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Pearson!

James Pearson bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Randleman in particular looking to stall.
