3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Luis Ganador! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ganador scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Nice body punch from Ganador. Ganador drops Rodri with a left and a right! Oh, Rodri is hurt - Ganador dives into side control looking to finish!
It looks like Jose Rodri has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rodri being controlled for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Rodri's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ganador looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Rodri taking punishment in the form of punches.
Ganador taking a breather here. Ganador is trying to move to mount but Rodri reverses beautifully and ends up in Ganador's guard. Ganador keeping moving, preventing Rodri from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ganador tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rodri swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ganador loads up on a big right hand but Rodri slips the punch. Rodri half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Rodri will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Horrible takedown attempt by Rodri or perhaps it was just good defense by Ganador, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Rodri. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rodri fails with the takedown. Ganador ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ganador ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Rodri is looking to clinch. A little jabbing left from Ganador on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Rodri swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rodri tries to clinch but Ganador moves out of range. Rodri goes for a double leg but Ganador avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ganador continues to drive forward. Ganador tries to keep at a distance but Rodri has taken the fight into the clinch. Rodri is working for takedown but Ganador is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Rodri. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rodri tries to break free but Ganador pushes him back against the cage. I was talking to Rodri's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Ganador has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ganador is trying to force a seperation but Rodri has the dominant position. Ganador is looking to break free of the clinch but Rodri has double underhooks.

Luis Ganador seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ganador changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rodri looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Rodri is looking to reverse the position. Ganador decides to stand back up. Ganador has Rodri up against the cage in a clinch.

Rodri tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ganador paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ganador swats away the attempt to clinch by Rodri. A looping hook to the body misses from Ganador. Rodri does a little dance to reset his feet. Jose Rodri is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ganador throws a series of punches but Rodri moves out of range. Ganador tries to clinch up but Rodri circles away and keeps his distance. Rodri shoots in looking for a takedown but Ganador manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rodri's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ganador pushes down on Rodri's head and hops out. Ganador scores with the left hand. Rodri knows he should have avoided that one. Ganador lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Rodri takes a body punch but keeps moving. Ganador throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rodri on the side of the head. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ganador, as that shot connected.

Romanow lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Kids up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Romanow from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Kids's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Adedji tries to work over Stripe's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Stripe tries to land knees in the clinch but Adedji avoids the damage to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
