The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nuutti lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dal Garin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sanchez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sanchez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Comeon Hitme!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luukas Porvola!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitme tests Porvola's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Porvola's coach down at Cozad MMA Helsinki was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Porvola's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Porvola throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hitme.
Porvola fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hitme looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Porvola throws a body shot but no joy.
Hitme on the wrong end of a nice hook.

It looks like Comeon Hitme has been cut.
Porvola throws a lazy right hand but Hitme sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hitme throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Hitme throws a right and a left that both miss.
Porvola throws a nice looking combination but Hitme bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hitme tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Hitme fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Porvola, pushing him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Porvola is trying to force a seperation but Hitme has the dominant position.
Porvola lands with a short shot to the head.
Hitme has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Hitme's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Porvola circles away from the clinch attempt.
A slapping leg kick lands for Hitme.
Hitme lands with a nice combination. Porvola backs away looking to recover.
Porvola lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Porvola throws a right hand that Hitme ducks under and follows up with a left that Hitme also avoids with ease.
Porvola avoids the head kick by Hitme.

Hitme shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Porvola uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Hitme shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Hitme not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Hitme looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Porvola with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hitme is looking to advance position but Porvola won't allow it.

Porvola really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hitme. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hitme has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hitme lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Porvola! More strikes land and this one is all over! Hitme jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
