1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cornelius Barnaby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Shaw! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaw fails with the takedown. Shaw walks into a stiff left hand from Barnaby. Barnaby scores with a nice right hand.

Barnaby definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Shaw changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barnaby tries to avoid it but Shaw manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barnaby to the ground. Barnaby escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Barnaby pushes Shaw up against the cage in a clinch. Shaw tries to pull guard but Barnaby won't allow it.
Cornelius Barnaby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Shaw. Barnaby will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Shaw up against the cage. Barnaby scores with a shoulder strike. Shaw fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Barnaby lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Barnaby is leaning against Shaw and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Barnaby content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Shaw tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Barnaby smiles and moves away.
Shaw on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Barnaby lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Shaw at a distance.
Shaw looks winded! Barnaby fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Shaw fails with the takedown and Barnaby counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Shaw off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Barnaby follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Shaw was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Cornelius Barnaby! A very excited looking Cornelius Barnaby made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Za. Za with the counter takedown but Bianchi avoids it easily. Za dives in and scores a takedown into Bianchi's guard. Bianchi tries to land a sweep but no joy. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bianchi is on top in guard.
Za is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bianchi works his way to full guard. Good work. Za makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Za postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bianchi wants to control but Za passes easily into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Alessio Bianchi will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bianchi content to control rather than advance. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Za felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Za is looking for a sweep. Bianchi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bianchi lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Za is not content to let Bianchi control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bianchi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Za is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Bianchi controlling the action here. Bianchi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Za wants to get back to full guard. Bianchi is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Bianchi not doing much here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Za is refusing to be controlled, as Bianchi sits in half guard. Bianchi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alessio Bianchi dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Bianchi saw that one coming. An inside leg kick from Bianchi misses. Za feints the counter takedown. Za connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bianchi. Bianchi circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Bianchi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Bianchi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Za sprawls well. Za wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bianchi gets slowly back to his feet. Pete Za has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

and Bianchi counters with a takedown into side control. Bianchi wants to control but Za is keeping him busy. Za is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bianchi looks up at the clock and then as Za takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bianchi smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Bianchi scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Za to see if he's OK. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bianchi is looking to take a break and control but Za is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Za tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Bianchi presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Za working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bianchi unloading with bombs! Bianchi raining down hammerfists from mount. Za tries to reverse the position but Bianchi maintains control. Bianchi controlling the pace for now. Bianchi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Alessio Bianchi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bianchi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Za can do to turn this around? Za is trying desperately to improve position. Bianchi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

And that's the end of the fight! Alessio Bianchi showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bianchi, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
