The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McMaster moves out of range of the body kick. McMaster is looking to counter with a shot to the body. McMaster misses with a few strikes there.
McMaster cracks a nice hook into Tielemans's ribs. McMaster misses the shot to the body. A little jabbing left from Tielemans on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Tielemans lands a jab to the head.
McMaster swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tielemans. McMaster uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tielemans. Tielemans uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McMaster.
Tielemans has McMaster up against the cage in a clinch.
McMaster makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Tielemans is working McMaster over against the cage. McMaster throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Tielemanss head. A nice left hand lands by Tielemans.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McMaster throws a punch but it's blocked by Tielemans. McMaster doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
McMaster is leaning against Tielemans and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Tielemans successfully pulls guard.
McMaster has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. McMaster stays in close to Tielemans's body and controls the position. McMaster slips nicely into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tielemans makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tielemans. Tielemans looking for a guillotine here but McMaster defends easily.
Tielemans is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! McMaster has his hands clasped together but Tielemans extends and breaks McMaster's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Tielemans.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Higa cracks Williamson with an open hand slap. Higa rushes Williamson and presses him up against the cage. Williamson takes an elbow to the forehead. A nice glancing elbow lands by Higa. Higa lands a hook that snaps the head of Williamson backwards. Williamson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Higa lands an elbow inside.
It looks like John Williamson has been cut. Higa lands an elbow that stopped Williamson in his tracks for a moment. Higa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Williamson takes a knee right on the jaw!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Higa lands an elbow just above Williamson 's eye. Higa taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Higa drops Williamson with a big knee straight up the middle! Williamson is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Williamson is rocked! Higa throws an overhand right that has Williamson reeling! Higa follows up with more punches and Williamson is out cold! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McAdvar throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hirsch holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Hirsch pulls McAdvar into guard.
Hirsch has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hirsch is on top in guard.
Hirsch scoring with some ground and pound. Hirsch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hirsch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. McAdvar is adopting a defensive guard. Hirsch throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hirsch is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hirsch's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Hirsch working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Hirsch stands up over McAdvar, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hirsch chips away with some ground and pound. Hirsch is working McAdvar over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hirsch with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hirsch in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hirsch works over McAdvar with some ground and pound from guard. Hirsch drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hirsch seems to have locked his on tight now - McAdvar screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hirsch, as he picks up the win!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Resende shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mason defends it nicely. Resende tries for a takedown but Mason circles away easily and Resende takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mason misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Resende.
Resende darts in looking for a takedown but Mason gets double underhooks and turns Resende into the cage. Mason throwing a counter right hand but Resende manages to avoid it. Max Mason has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wagner Resende. Mason misses the jab. Resende uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mason.
Wagner Resende seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Resende misses with a takedown attempt and Mason counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Resende pushing out the jab but it's not landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Resende swings away with a body shot that misses
and Mason counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Mason lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Resende shoots and misses and Mason counters with a straight right hand. Resende misses with a takedown attempt and Mason counters with a left to the body. Mason has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mason there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Mason counters with a lovely shot to the body. Resende fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mason manages to avoid it. Resende throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mason throws a body shot but no joy. Resende shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mason as he avoids it easily. Max Mason is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Resende has a takedown stuffed. Resende has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Resende fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Resende ducks right into an uppercut from Mason. Mason swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Resende. Mason throws a body shot but no joy. Mason scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Resende misses with a body shot.
Mason uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Resende. No luck for Resende with that takedown attempt. Mason takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
We've been told by Mason's head coaches at LOD: BAD BOY MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A shot to the liver by Mason. Beautiful body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A jab from Mason finds it's way through Resende's defenses. Resende with a poor takedown and Mason counters with a crisp one two that drops Resende! Mason thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Resende to his feet! Resende is in big trouble!
Resende is rocked! Mason dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Resende is still on wobbly legs! Can Mason finish him? Resende looks to land a left hand but Mason moved out of range nicely. Mason feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Resende sprawling to the canvas! Resende rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mason finish him?!
BAM! Mason delivers a spinning backfist that drops Resende like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

Eldos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Eldos drops back looking for a leg! Takaziko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Takaziko manages to kick Eldos off! Eldos jumps back into Takaziko's guard. Eldos with a nice head shot there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Eldos looking to pass the guard. Eldos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boag ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hirigushi walks into a straight right hand from Boag. Boag misses with a few strikes there.
Hirigushi is looking to counter punch. Boag drops Hirigushi with a big left hand and mounts him. Hirigushi is in big trouble!
Hirigushi is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hirigushi sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Oh Hirigushi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Boag wants to control but Hirigushi is keeping him busy. Hirigushi seems to have got his legs back now. Boag tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hirigushi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Boag is working for a submission of some sort.
Hirigushi is trying to stand up here but Boag is controlling him well. Boag looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Boag is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hirigushi is just riding it out for now. Boag eventually gives up the hold.

Boag wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hirigushi keeps working. Hirigushi tries to kick Boag off but Boag keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boag has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hirigushi is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Hirigushi has given up his back. Will we see Boag going for some submissions?

Well, with Boag on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Hirigushi is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Boag has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hirigushi has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rojas lunges at Souza with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Souza's hand. Souza tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Rojas lands with a kick to the temple. Souza shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Souza tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rojas paws at him with a jab and circles away. Souza takes a swing at Rojas's ribcage but misses. Souza goes for a double leg but Rojas avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rojas continues to drive forward. Rojas lets loose with a powerful body kick. Souza will feel that in the morning. Rojas moves away from the strike by Souza.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rojas sizes up Souza with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Rojas lands a leg kick that knocks Souza off balance momentarily. Rojas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Souza has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Rojas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Souza circles away quickly and effectively. Souza was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Rojas scores with a hook. A slapping body kick lands there for Rojas. Rojas lands with a straight right. Souza didn't see that one coming. Souza misses with a body kick. A little jabbing left from Rojas on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Rojas thuds a left hand into Souza's body. Souza takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Souza tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Souza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A solid body kick from Rojas. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rojas misses with a head kick.
It looked like Souza was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Rojas keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Souza. Souza throws a right and a left that Rojas avoids nicely. Rojas lands a head kick!
Rojas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Souzas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Rojas with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Ritchie Souza has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rojas works over Souza's head and body with a nice combination.

McTomlin darts in looking for a takedown but Livre gets double underhooks and turns McTomlin into the cage. McTomlin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Livre counters with a straight right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paddy McTomlin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Livre scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. McTomlin misses with a takedown attempt letting Livre counter with a right hand. and Livre counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Livre bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of McTomlin's head. McTomlin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Livre swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jab from Livre. Livre thuds his right hand into McTomlin's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McTomlin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Livre might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. McTomlin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Livre tries to avoid it but McTomlin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Livre to the ground. Livre escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

He's got his arms around Livre's waist but Livre gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McTomlin off to one side. Livre looks like he wants to counter punch here. McTomlin wants to clinch and Livre makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Livre swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by McTomlin. McTomlin gets a takedown into half guard. McTomlin seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Livre has recovered full guard. McTomlin is breathing heavily. Livre is pulling down on McTomlin's head to control his posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McTomlin won't allow Livre to sweep him here. McTomlin wants to control from the top but Livre keeps moving. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Livre can do anything to dispel that myth. McTomlin throwing strikes from guard but Livre blocks nicely. Livre working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McTomlin. Livre told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. McTomlin content to stall in guard here. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Livre holds on and takes a little breather.
