The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Strike. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Strike.
A looping hook to the body misses from Silva. Strike does a little dance to reset his feet.
Strike bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Silva's head backwards.
Strike fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Strike moves into range and clinches up with Silva.
Silva jumps into guard, dragging Strike to the mat.
Silva has his foot on Strike's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Strike works his way back into a safe position though.
Silva thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Strike is sitting in close to Silva's body. Silva has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Strike is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Strike is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Silva.

Putsok throws a right hand that Nurmagabeeb ducks under and follows up with a left that Nurmagabeeb also avoids with ease.

Putsok stuns Nurmagabeeb with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Piano is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Barkley flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Barkley is out cold! Piano holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Rick Piano decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
