4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brock Steve! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tristan Lancier! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steve gets the takedown into side control. Lancier gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Steve prevents Lancier from getting the reversal. Steve controlling the position easily from mount. Lancier is squirming around, avoiding Steve's attempts to control the action. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steve looking to ground and pound but Lancier is blocking nicely. Steve throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Steve unloads with some shots from mount but Lancier bucks and avoids them well.
Steve tries to control but Lancier wriggling away. Lancier has given up his back. Will we see Steve going for some submissions?

Steve wants to control the position but Lancier frees himself and scrambles - Steve manages to regain control in side control.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Steve throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Lancier wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Steve decides to take the fight back to the feet. Steve throws a head kick that misses
and Lancier counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Steve has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Steve is looking to improve his position.
Lancier with the ground and pound but Steve uses the opportunity to regain guard. Lancier landing some decent shots from guard. Lancier lands a couple of decent looking shots. Steve utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Lancier scoring with punches to the head and body. Lancier lands a couple of digs. Steve has his hands on Lancier's head, controlling the position. Steve looking to control.
Lancier cracks Steve with a solid left hand. Steve not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lancier postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Steve is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lancier, into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lancier looking to control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Steve slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Steve drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lancier dives on top into guard.

Steve looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Lancier wants to get back to full guard but Steve has mounted him!
Steve is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lancier is surviving well by controlling Steve's body position as best he can. Steve looking to control but Lancier is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Steve is really struggling to control Lancier but he's trying to hold on to the position. Lancier is trying desperately to improve position. Steve can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lancier is looking to escape. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Steve swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lancier is now in Steve's guard. A big mistake from Steve there, giving up the dominant position! And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Tristan Lancier has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lancier has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Steve avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Steve is defending well against a takedown attempt. Brock Steve has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tristan Lancier. Lancier tries to score a body lock takedown but Steve shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Lancier takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Steve breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Steve throws a head kick that misses. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Steve looks to land a combination. Lancier sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Brock Steve is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Brock Steve is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lancier takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
And that's the end of the fight! Brock Steve showed his dominance in that final round. Well Steve has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matonen throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

We've been informed that Matonen has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Santana swings wildly with an uppercut but Matonen uses good head movement to avoid it. Matonen blocks an uppercut.
Matonen digs a right hand into Santana's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Santana's gas tank. Matonen works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Santana wants to clinch and Matonen counters with a low kick, right behind Santana 's knee. Santana looks to clinch and Matonen counters with a lovely straight right hand! Santana wants to clinch but Matonen slips to the side and Matonen counters with a nice uppercut. Santana tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Matonen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Nice body kick there by Matonen. Santana throws a head kick but Matonen moves out of range.
Santana is breathing heavily. Matonen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Matonen was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Decent striking displayed by Matonen there.

Matonen rushes Santana and presses him up against the cage. Matonen blocks an uppercut.

No joy there for Santana, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Santana takes one on the button. Matonen slips a jab and a cross from Santana.
Santana wants to clinch up but Matonen keeps it at a distance. Santana tries to clinch there but Matonen circles away.
Matonen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Santana misses with a combination
enabling Matonen to counter with a crisp jab. Santana shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Santana tries to clinch but Matonen is having none of it. Matonen takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
 Santana is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Matonen cracks Santana on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Santana falls backwards against the cage. Matonen follows up with more strikes that drop Santana to his knees. Matonen keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Santana! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Usko Matonen! Usko Matonen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCullen thuds his shin into the meat of Ladd's side. Ladd fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. McCullen throws a leg kick but Ladd checks it. It looked like Ladd was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. McCullen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. McCullen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

McCullen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
 It looks like Sam McCullen has been cut. A kick lands to the mid section there for McCullen. Ladd lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Ladd throws a shot from downtown. McCullen moves away and avoids it. McCullen takes a body punch but keeps moving. Ladd blocks a head kick by McCullen.
Ladd lands with a shot to the body. McCullen looks winded! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ladd misses with an uppercut. McCullen throws a body shot but no joy. McCullen swings and misses with a hook to the body.

 That has opened up Sam McCullen's cut even more. McCullen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Rosco Ladd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A cross from Ladd lands. Ladd throws a right hand that misses
and McCullen counters with a nice body kick. Ladd cracks a nice hook into McCullen's ribs. McCullen slips a jab from Ladd. As Ladd backs off McCullen throws a huge counter combo but Ladd manages to avoid it all. A big right from Ladd misses. Ladd throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McCullen counters with a good, hard body kick but Ladd shrugs it off. McCullen throws a sloppy head kick and Ladd moves out of range easily. Ladd misses with a hook. Ladd misses with a hook. McCullen jabbing away but nothing is landing. McCullen scores with a push kick.

McCullen prevents a body shot from Ladd.

McCullen tries to work over Ladd's front leg with a kick but Ladd checks it. Ladd misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McCullen.

McCullen pushes Ladd up against the cage in a clinch. McCullen tries to work over Ladd's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McCullen can't find room to land a body shot as Ladd controls the action.

McCullen looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Ladd lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
 The cut above Sam McCullen's eye is starting to cause him problems now. A looping hook to the body misses from McCullen. Ladd does a little dance to reset his feet. Brock drops Hedgeh with a beautiful combination! Hedgeh stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Brock is looking for the KO! Good exchange - Brock coming out on top.
 Hedgeh is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brock lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Hedgeh up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Brock from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Hedgeh's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Art Brock! A relieved looking Art Brock thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
