The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velvet throws a combination that misses so Übensplikt counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Velvet is wriggling around but Übensplikt manages to pass to half guard.
Übensplikt winds up and cracks Velvet with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
It looks like Reginald Velvet has been cut. Velvet trying to get back to full guard but Übensplikt takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Velvet really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Übensplikt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Übensplikt is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dibala bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A swing and a miss from Dibala. ONeill connects with a nice looking jab.
ONeill drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. ONeill is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Dibala looks calm but he's in trouble here. ONeill gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Dibala is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! ONeill lets go of the hold and Dibala can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ed ONeill! A relieved looking Ed ONeill thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baby keeps the fight on the outside. Kowalchuk walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Kowalchuk misses with a takedown and Baby counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Baby jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kowalchuk tries to clinch up and Kowalchuk takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Baby lands a nice looking body shot.
Baby feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kowalchuks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Kowalchuk is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A quick step to the side and Baby tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Baby jabs at Kowalchuk's body. Kowalchuk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Baby avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kowalchuk takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Baby lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Baby lands a slapping body shot.
Nice straight punches there by Baby. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Baby. Maxxy Baby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kowalchuk doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Baby smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Baby scores with a body shot.
Baby is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Kowalchuk forces Baby back against the cage and clinches. Kowalchuk is trying to pull guard but Baby has him pressed against the cage. Baby manages to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kowalchuk rushes Baby and presses him up against the cage. Kowalchuk jumps guard but Baby turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Maxxy Baby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dimitri Kowalchuk. Baby breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. We've been told by Baby's head coaches at Tayne's 4d3d3d3 Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kowalchuk tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Baby fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Baby lands a nice shot that snaps Kowalchuk's head back.

A wild punch that just about connected.

Baby connects with a body shot that sends Kowalchuk's belly button to the back. Kowalchuk takes one to the side of the head.
Kowalchuk is still on wobbly legs! Can Baby finish him? Baby scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kowalchuk doesn't seem bothered though. Baby sizes up Kowalchuk with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Kowalchuk seems to have recovered his senses. Baby lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Baby lands a jab. Kowalchuk walks into a left hand. Baby lands with a straight right. Kowalchuk didn't see that one coming. The fighters circle momentarily. Baby darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baby scores with a jab. Kowalchuk drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. and Baby counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Kowalchuk! He's just covering up as Baby starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

and Wales counters with a lovely straight right hand! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters circling - Wales throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Frank misses with a combination
and Wales connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Frank walks into a straight right hand from Wales.

and Wales counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Frank out cold! What a finish! Wales is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marley ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Marley swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Jones definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Marley ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Marley lands a nice looking body shot.
Luther Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marley wants it to stay on the feet. Marley misses the shot to the body. No luck with that takedown attempt from Jones. Marley throws a solid leg kick but Jones takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Marley. Jones takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Marley attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Marley's shoulder, as Marley tries to avoid the shot. Jones keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Marley throws a solid leg kick but Jones takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Marley. Marley lands a jab to Jones's midsection. Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Marley is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Jones works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Marley is trying to get back to half guard. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Marley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Marley tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jones tries to advance to mount but can't. Marley tries to buck Jones off but Jones is having none of it. Jones scoring with punches and elbows. Jones postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jones is putting a hurting on Marley here, landing some big shots from side control. Jones tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Marley struggling a bit here. Jones is trying to ground and pound but Marley uses the momentary lack of control by Jones to regain half guard. Jones is looking to stall here but Marley recovers full guard. Jones lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to pass the guard but Marley is keeping the position. Jones wants to control from the top but Marley keeps moving. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Marley tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones throws a big elbow that misses. Jones throwing strikes but missing. Marley controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself. Jones throws a big elbow that misses. Marley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones advances to half guard. Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marley's head. Jones is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Marley is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jones throws a big right hand that misses. Jones trying to control but Marley is working from the bottom. Marley is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well. Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Marley looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Marley has momentary wrist control but Jones slips an elbow through the middle. Marley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marley works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jones throws a strike but Marley rolls with it and manages to sweep. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to Marley's temple. Marley wants to get back to full guard. Jones passes to full mount! Jones misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Viki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Diaz shoots in and bounces Viki off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Viki wants to stand and escape but Diaz is having none of it. Viki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground. Diaz scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Viki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Diaz is controlling him. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dee controls the position. Dee working away. Dee decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ronaldo to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ronaldo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dee was well out of range. Poor timing from Ronaldo. Ronaldo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. That kick from Ronaldo tenderised Dee's leg. Dee is trying to keep his angry face on. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beast throws a poor cross that misses
letting Carter counter with a right hand. Carter turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Beast throws a lazy right hand but Carter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Beast uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Carter. The fighters circling - Carter throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Beast shoots in and gets a takedown into Carter's guard. Carter looking for a triangle here. Beast is fighting it but it looks tight! Carter pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Beast is tapping out - this one is all over!
