5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lucifer Morningstar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nate Zappa! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zappa instigates a clinch. Zappa goes for a takedown attempt but Morningstar pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nate Zappa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zappa shoots in but Morningstar avoids the takedown attempt easily. Zappa shoots in and drives through. Morningstar sprawls well. Morningstar went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Lucifer Morningstar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nate Zappa. Zappa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Zappa throwing shots but Morningstar is blocking nicely. Zappa decides to stand and escape the position. Zappa tries to close the distance and clinch but Morningstar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morningstar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Morningstar throws a one two combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Zappa. Morningstar is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Zappa passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Morningstar! Zappa unloading with bombs! Zappa is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Morningstar is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Morningstar flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Zappa anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Morningstar and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Zappa slips an arm under Morningstar chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Zappa has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Zappa is squeezing on Morningstar like an anaconda would it's prey. Morningstar fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sekany is looking to chop away at Von Ricther's legs. Von Ricther dips to his left and cracks Sekany with an uppercut! Sekany is trying hard to land a takedown here. Von Ricther sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. An inside leg kick lands from Von Ricther. A decent looking body kick lands there for Von Ricther. Von Ricther gets tackled into the cage by Sekany. Sekany maintains the clinch. Sekany fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Von Ricther escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Von Ricther closes the distance and lands a one-two. Sloppy strikes from Sekany. Those never looked like landing. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Sekany takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Sekany looks winded! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Von Ricther connects with a single shot there. Von Ricther uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Sekany is rocked! Von Ricther lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Sekany is looking to close the distance but Von Ricther sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Sekany crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Sekany is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Lars Von Ricther! A very excited looking Lars Von Ricther made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. Jake Sekany spoke after the fight, saying 'Complete bullshit I could throw a ball at every judge, complete idiots. My opponent got lucky and I will be back. I never quit, I am like herpes, I go away but I just comeback stronger...'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nomo misses with a leg kick and Bundles counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nomo swats away the attempt to clinch by Bundles. Bundles thows a left - swing and a miss! Bundles catches Nomo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Bundles's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Nomo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bundles scrambles back to his feet. Bundles connects with a looping right hand.
Nomo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A looping hook to the body misses from Bundles. Nomo does a little dance to reset his feet. Bundles throws a head kick that misses. A telegraphed right hand from Nomo misses the target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bundles is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nomo. Nomo moves forwards but Bundles connects with a nice, crisp jab. Bundles misses with an uppercut. Nomo misses with an uppercut. Bundles saw that one coming. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nomo is defended easily by Bundles.

Bundles has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A shot to the liver by Nomo. Beautiful body shot. Bundles throws a shot to the body.

Bundles dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bundles throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bundles throws a head kick that misses. This has been an exciting period of action! Bundles walks into a stiff left hand from Nomo. Nomo blocks a head kick by Bundles.
Nomo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bundles. Nomo drives through with a takedown into guard. Bundles is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nomo chips away with some ground and pound. Nomo wants to pass the guard but Bundles is keeping the position. Nomo postures up.

Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bundles. Bundles bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Bundles loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bundles trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bundles in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bundles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Nomo is trying to keep Bundles in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nomo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bundles is aware though and is defending well. Nomo tries to land a sweep but no joy. Nomo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bundles sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nomo's guard. Bundles trying to mount his opponent but Nomo defends it. Nomo looking for submissions off his back. Nomo keeping hold of Bundles's head, controlling as best he can. Bundles working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bundles fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Nomo on the side of the head. Bundles throws a shot from downtown. Nomo moves away and avoids it. Nomo pushing out the jab but it's not landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bundles misses the jab. Bundles misses with a straight right. Nomo on the wrong end of a nice jab. Ray Bundles seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nomo throws out a loose jab but Bundles uses good head movement to avoid it. Bundles connects with a high kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bundles tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nomo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nomo fails in his attempt to clinch. Bundles misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nomo.

Nomo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bundles is working away from the top position though. Nomo is looking for a sweep. Bundles is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nice strikes from Bundles there. Bundles thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nomo's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bundles not landing any meaningful shots this time. Nomo wants to get back to full guard. Nomo is in trouble now - Bundles has advanced to mount! Bundles punishing his opponent with strikes. Bundles putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bundles cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Ray Bundles has got the better of the ground game so far. The referee warns Nomo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Bundles lands a big elbow. A nice elbow there by Bundles. Nomo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bundles throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Bundles unloading with bombs! Bundles postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Nomo looks a forlorn figure.
Nomo tries to hold on but Bundles postures up. Bundles working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bundles scoring with strikes but Nomo is staying in there. Nomo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Shintaro Nomo's cut is getting worse. Bundles breaks from Nomo's wrist control and lands an elbow. Bundles landing punches.

and Trew counters with a low kick, right behind Borodin 's knee. Borodin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cats Killers Academy Mma in the buildup to the fight. Borodin throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Trew counter with a right hand. Trew clinches. A head punch blocked on the inside by Trew. Trew's coach down at Russian Bears Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Trew's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Borodin blocks an elbow strike. Trew creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Trew tries to land a knee to the head but Borodin blocks with his arms.

It looks like Aleksey Borodin has been cut. Trew lands a vicious elbow to the side of Borodin's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Trew tries to finish him with strikes but Borodin still seems able to defend himself so Trew steps back and lets Borodin get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game. Borodin is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Trew moves into the clinch successfully.

Jeez, Aleksey Borodin's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Borodin is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Trew doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Borodin crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Borodin's bad books for that mishap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGraw misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McGraw tries to land a front kick but BK steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. BK takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
BK misses with a looping right. BK takes a swing at McGraw's ribcage but misses. BK lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

McGraw throws a body shot but no joy. Bonesaw McGraw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. BK tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McGraw was well out of range. Poor timing from BK. McGraw on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

BK throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McGraw works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've been hearing good reports from BK's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. McGraw working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from BK. BK got a little sloppy there for a moment and McGraw has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, BK has managed to get both his arms back between McGraw's legs - danger averted. McGraw pulls BK in close to prevent any damage. McGraw working a defensive guard here.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. BK connects with a nice short shot to McGraw's temple.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel throws a leg kick but Ronaldo moved away. Steel rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ronaldo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Steel won't be happy with that. Steel is trying to get back to half guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Ronaldo is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ronaldo working for a triangle but Steel defends it easily.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Steel loads up on a big left hand. Ronaldo felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Steel looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Ronaldo can't hide his disappointment, as Steel celebrates the victory.
