4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alvey Kulina! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Ben Watson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! At Night looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ariel At Night seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. At Night looking for a takedown here - he's got it. At Night is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. At Night won't allow Kulina to get back to his feet. At Night trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kulina avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. At Night cracks Kulina with a solid left hand. At Night makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. At Night has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kulina wants to sweep but no luck. Kulina has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kulina is continuing to stall. At Night missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. At Night being controlled here momentarily. At Night in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. At Night drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kulina manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now At Night has Kulina in his guard. Kulina stopping the sweep attempt from At Night.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now At Night is on top in guard.
At Night cracks Kulina with a solid left hand. At Night throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kulina works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kulina wants to stand up but At Night is controlling him. Kulina has At Night pulled in close to control his posture. At Night keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kulina's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kulina wants to stand and escape but At Night is having none of it. Kulina pulls At Night in close to prevent any damage. At Night throwing strikes from guard but Kulina blocks nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. At Night throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. At Night drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and At Night jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. At Night throwing strikes but missing. Kulina escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. At Night gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. At Night passes Kulina's left leg - he's now in half guard. Kulina tries to kick At Night off but At Night keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. At Night throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. At Night wants to control but Kulina is keeping him busy. Kulina has hold of At Night's hands but At Night slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kulina is trying to defend against the ground and pound but At Night scores with a couple of nice shots. At Night sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kulina defending well though. Kulina is looking to control At Night's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kulina avoid being mounted? At Night thows a huge punch but Kulina dodges it nicely.
At Night scores with a couple of good hammerfists. At Night is looking for a kimura but Kulina is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for At Night to get the leverage. Kulina is trying to stand.
At Night wants to control but Kulina is keeping him busy. At Night looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kulina wants to get back to his feet. Kulina is trying to get back to full guard. At Night wants to control but Kulina is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ariel At Night dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kulina loads up on a big right hand but At Night slips the punch. At Night tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kulina sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten At Night somewhat. At Night misses with a double jab.
At Night swings and misses with a hook to the body.
At Night is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kulina can do to turn this around? Kulina takes a swing at At Night's ribcage but misses. A jab from Kulina finds it's way through At Night's defenses. A swing and a miss from At Night. At Night has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kulina finds it's way round the side to connect with At Night's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - At Night looks like he's thinking about clinching though. At Night steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kulina. No luck with that takedown attempt from At Night.
That's one minute gone in the round. At Night misses with a left hand and Kulina counters with a straight right hand. At Night shoots in for a takedown but Kulina shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ariel At Night. That's going to take a lot out of him. At Night doesn't manage to clinch there - Kulina circles away.
Kulina is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Kulina takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

At Night wants to clinch up but Kulina keeps it at a distance. Kulina on the wrong end of a nice jab. This has been an exciting period of action! At Night has closed the distance and engaged Kulina in a clinch.
Kulina wants to break free but At Night has control.
At Night breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kulina jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kulina throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
At Night throws an overhand right that lands on Kulina's shoulder, as Kulina tries to avoid the shot. Kulina steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. At Night ducks under a wild hook from Kulina.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from At Night. Kulina moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Kulina waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract At Night. At Night moves out of range of the strikes. At Night avoids the head kick by Kulina.
At Night shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kulina as he jumps to the side. At Night rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kulina moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A big right from Kulina misses. At Night throwing a counter right hand but Kulina manages to avoid it. At Night ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kulina lands a nice hook to At Night's body. At Night takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. At Night doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kulina counters with a stiff right hand. Alvey Kulina seems to be getting the better of the standup. At Night tries for a takedown but Kulina sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A looping hook to the body misses from Kulina. At Night does a little dance to reset his feet. Kulina uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from At Night. At Night moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! At Night closes the distance and pushes Kulina back into the cage. At Night fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Kulina looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A frustrated look appears on Kulina's face as he tries to break the clinch. Kulina tries to break the clinch but At Night is controlling the position. Kulina manages to break the clinch.
At Night misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alvey Kulina showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Kulina ducks down and throws a hook to the body but At Night moves away. A big left from At Night misses. At Night fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kulina on the side of the head. Kulina lands with an uppercut that bounces At Night off the cage and back into range. Kulina throws an ugly left hook that misses
and At Night counters with a shoot takedown. Kulina fights it but they end up in guard. At Night throws a strike but Kulina rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Kulina is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kulina got a little sloppy there for a moment and At Night has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kulina has managed to get both his arms back between At Night's legs - danger averted. At Night can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kulina controls the pace. At Night is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. At Night is looking for a triangle but Kulina pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kulina pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. At Night is keeping the position for now. Kulina's corner is telling him to maintain position. At Night controlling Kulina's posture. At Night has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kulina can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. At Night looking for a guillotine here but Kulina defends easily.
At Night is looking for a triangle here but Kulina uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. At Night is being controlled here. Kulina tries to stand but At Night is controlling his head. At Night can't do much from the bottom here. Kulina really doesn't want to stay on the ground with At Night. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. At Night sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. At Night moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. At Night bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kulina's guard. At Night throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. At Night postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. At Night with a flurry of punches that miss. Kulina is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. At Night presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Kulina gets underhooks to prevent At Night's takedown attempt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ariel At Night. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kulina breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
At Night misses with a lunging right hand
and Kulina counters with a stiff right hand. At Night shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kulina connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kulina throws a head kick but At Night moves out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from At Night misses the target. At Night will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kulina lands a nice shot to the body.
At Night waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kulina. A telegraphed takedown attempt from At Night is defended easily by Kulina. At Night staying out of range there. At Night tries to counter with a takedown but Kulina is quick to defend against it. Kulina swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And that's the end of the fight! Alvey Kulina comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kulina has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sagat needs to keep his hands up - Avery had a free shot at his head there. Avery slips a jab from Sagat. Avery tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Avery misses with a takedown and Sagat counters with a good low kick that Avery was not able to check. Avery's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sagat connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Avery scrambles back to his feet. A low kick from Sagat is predictable there and Avery counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Avery is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sagat is defending against the submission attempts here by Avery.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Avery is trying for a kimura here. Sagat looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Avery wins by kimura!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hill throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Lao looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Lao closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
It looks like Karnak Lao has been cut. Lao takes one to the side of the head.
Hill scores with a nice head shot. Hill circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Lao to the canvas! Lao doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Hill keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

and Olufsen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Olufsen misses with a jab, cross combination.
St Peter misses with a looping left. Olufsen lets loose with a powerful body kick. St Peter will feel that in the morning. Olufsen throws a head kick that misses. Olufsen scoring well with a low kick there.
St Peter darts in looking for a takedown but Olufsen gets double underhooks and turns St Peter into the cage. Olufsen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Olufsen staying out of range there. Olufsen is looking to counter with a body kick. St Peter throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Olufsen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. St Peter on the wrong end of a nice jab. Olufsen slips under a jab from St Peter. St Peter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Olufsen circles away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! St Peter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than St Peter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! St Peter looks winded! St Peter misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olufsen is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Olufsen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. St Peter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Olufsen, who protects the arm well. Olufsen is looking for a sweep. St Peter tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. St Peter trying to control the position but Olufsen is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Olufsen tries to bench press St Peter off him but St Peter keeps the position. Olufsen manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Olufsen is trying to defend against the ground and pound but St Peter scores with a couple of nice shots. Olufsen works his way to full guard. Good work. St Peter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Olufsen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
St Peter throws a big right hand that misses. Olufsen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hammerfist, elbow! yells St Peter's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Olufsen looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Olufsen is looking to cinch up a triangle. St Peter throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Olufsen's body to avoid the submission. Olufsen has instead reached around St Peter's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Olufsen arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bang Olufsen! Bang Olufsen decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.

Monroe has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Lillard lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Monroe pushes Lillard back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Lillard misses with some punches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Derrick takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Derrick clinches. Derrick has a couple of punches blocked by Ponce.
Ponce drops down looking for an ankle pick but Derrick pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ponce sizes up Derrick with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
It looks like Emil Derrick has been cut. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ponce is defended easily by Derrick. We've been told by Ponce's head coaches at IC&E Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Ponce tries for a takedown but Derrick sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Ponce. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ponce fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Derrick, pushing him back against the cage. Ponce breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ponce throws a jab but it's blocked by Derrick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Derrick scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Derrick avoids the head kick by Ponce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harada lands a nice hook to Julmu's body. Julmu takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Julmu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Harada looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Julmu is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Harada fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Julmu takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Harada seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Julmu throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

Harada throws a low kick but it's checked well by Julmu. Julmu with the counter takedown but Harada avoids it easily.
