Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Waleed Dheeb (ranked 1633 p4p, 75 weight class) and Hsing Yi (ranked 1990 p4p, 232 weight class). Yi has chosen Power of thy Sword as his entrance music. Hsing Yi is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hsing Yi!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Yi misses its intended target.
Dheeb slips under a jab.
Yi lands a nice looking body shot.
Yi lands a jab to the nose.
Nice uppercut lands for Yi. That snapped Dheeb's head back.
Dheeb looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Dheeb takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Dheeb looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Yi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dheeb.
A looping hook to the body misses from Yi. Dheeb does a little dance to reset his feet.
Yi jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dheeb tries to counter with a takedown but Yi is quick to defend against it.
Dheeb defending well as Yi loads up on a big left hand.
Yi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dheeb.

Yi tests Dheeb's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Yi throws a hook but Dheeb blocks it.
Dheeb half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Dheeb shoots in looking for a takedown but Yi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dheeb's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Yi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Yi lunges at Dheeb with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dheeb's hand.
Yi lands a body shot.
Yi bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dheeb's head.
Yi staying out of range there.
Yi misses with a series of wild punches.

Dheeb looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Yi is fending him off so far but Dheeb persists. Nope, Yi circles away and we're back to standing.
Yi looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Waleed Dheeb. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yi throws a nice looking combination but Dheeb bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dheeb walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Dheeb is rocked!
Hsing Yi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Dheeb fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Yi to the ground. Dheeb is now in Yi's guard.
Yi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Yi working for a triangle but Dheeb defends it easily.
Dheeb working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Yi's head.
Dheeb has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dheeb lands a couple of digs.

Yi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dheeb gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Yi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Yi keeping moving, preventing Dheeb from controlling successfully.
Dheeb is looking to work some ground and pound but Yi has wrist control.

Yi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Yi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dheeb doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dheeb manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dheeb is posturing up here but Yi has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Dheeb tries to roll out but it's too tight and Dheeb has to tap! Slick submission there by Yi!
