The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Platanares shoots in and gets a takedown into Tea's guard. Platanares got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tea has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Platanares has managed to get both his arms back between Tea's legs - danger averted. Tea told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Tea is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Platanares is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Tea has his foot on Platanares's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Platanares works his way back into a safe position though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tea had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ice Tea seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bobeth cracks Oscarsson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Bobeth looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Bobeth is looking to clinch. Oscarsson let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Oscarsson stalks Bobeth and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bobeth's face. Bobeth staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Michael Bobeth has been cut. Bobeth throws a leg kick letting Oscarsson counter with a right hand.
Bobeth is rocked! A lazy body kick from Bobeth and Oscarsson counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin throws a push kick but McDaniels slaps the foot to one side. Griffin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McDaniels did well to prevent Griffin getting side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. McDaniels wants to get back to his feet.

McDaniels was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. McDaniels scores with a hook to the body. Griffin takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. A solid body kick from McDaniels. McDaniels dips down and scores with a jab to the body. McDaniels connects with a jab. McDaniels connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Griffin momentarily.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McDaniels, as that shot connected.

Griffin shoots in but no luck this time. McDaniels lands a body shot.

Griffin is rocked! McDaniels connects with a solid leg kick. McDaniels scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Griffin is still on wobbly legs! Can McDaniels finish him? A head kick misses from McDaniels. McDaniels rushes Griffin and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Griffin is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. McDaniels piles on the pressure and Griffin crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Dong is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dong has his feet on Dominguez's thighs here. He's pushed Dominguez off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Dominguez screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gentili shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Woods napping and manages to drive through into side control! Woods gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Gentili is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Woods has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gentili is working away from the top position though. Gentili is trying to work for a kimura but Woods is defending well.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beast doesn't succeed with the takedown and Harris counters with a straight right hand. A jab from Harris misses. Beast staying out of range there. Beast uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Harris.
Beast misses with a left hand and Harris counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Beast thinking. Harris connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Dave Beast has been cut. Harris closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. I was talking to Harris's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Beast has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Harris after a bit of a struggle. Harris breaks from the clinch.

Harris is controlling Beast's position as best he can from this difficult position. Beast is nestled in close to Harris, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Harris gets full guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Beast working his ground and pound in the gym. Harris looking for a sweep. Not yet Harris, not yet. Beast scores with a decent looking elbow strike. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Harris holds on and takes a little breather. Beast stops Harris from standing up. Harris has his hands on Beast's head, controlling the position. Harris has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That was a close round but I would say that Braven Harris will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dave Beast's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Harris throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beast. Braven Harris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Beast keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Harris. Beast misses with an uppercut. Beast gets the takedown into side control. Harris is not content to let Beast control the position. Harris is looking to reverse the position. Harris manages to get back to half guard. Beast wants to take a breather but Harris is having none of it. Beast looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Harris is looking to control Beast's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Harris avoid being mounted? Beast working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Beast is thwarting Harris's attempts to control the position. Harris is staying active underneath Beast, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Harris moves out of range of the strikes. Harris throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Beast lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Beast shoots in looking for a takedown but Harris manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Beast's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Nice cross by Harris. Beast throws a lazy right hand but Harris sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A telegraphed right hand from Beast misses the target. Harris has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Beast finds it's way round the side to connect with Harris's head. Beast fails with a takedown attempt. The fighters circling - Harris throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Harris throws the left hand but Beast avoids the punch easily. Braven Harris is winning the standup battle so far. Beast fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Braven Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Beast. Harris has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beast is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Harris can't fight it off and eventually Beast manages to take the fight to the floor. Harris looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Harris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Beast stops Harris from standing up. Harris seems keen to control Beast's posture. Dave Beast has got the better of the ground game so far. Harris looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Beast landing some decent shots from guard. Beast throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Harris works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Harris lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Harris wants to get up but he can't break Beast's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beast thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Beast is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Harris defends well. Harris won't allow Beast to sweep him here. Harris is looking to stand up but Beast won't let him. Beast wants to sweep but no luck. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gallagher swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A big right from Gallagher misses. Gallagher catches Partio with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Gallagher lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Partio circles away quickly and effectively. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Gallagher misses with a looping left. Partio slips under a jab from Gallagher. Gallagher blocks the body kick.
Partio goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Partio lands a glancing blow to the side of Gallagher's head. Gallagher has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. A slapping body kick lands there for Partio. And that's the end of the fight! Polliisi Partio comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Partio has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. That was a close round but I would say that Mark Steve will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

He thinks about going to the ground but Steve looks back up at him and smiles so Toivonen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Steve is rocked! OH! Steve has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Toivonen smells blood and charges in for the finish! Toivonen unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Steve sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Scrotum feints and then cracks Hepple's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hepple down. Hepple fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Hepple wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Scrotum keeps the fight on the outside. Scrotum doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Hepple is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Scrotum fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hepple manages to avoid it. Hepple looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Hairy Scrotum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Scrotum tries to bum rush Hepple with a series of wild strikes but Hepple uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Scrotum just misses with a punch to the body.

Hepple tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hepple attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Hepple throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hepple takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Scrotum uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Scrotum's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hepple under the eye. Hepple throws a front kick aimed at Scrotum's knee but Scrotum avoids it well. Scrotum uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hepple. Hepple throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Hepple fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Scrotum. Hepple tries a head kick but it misses.

Hepple is rocked! Scrotum scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hepple doesn't seem bothered though. Oh Hepple is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hepple is breathing heavily. Scrotum lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Hepple up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Scrotum from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Hepple's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hairy Scrotum! Hairy Scrotum really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Cipher Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
