The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xzavier fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Leng avoids it really well and circles away.
Leng looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Xzavier looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Xzavier swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Xzavier closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Leng's guard.
Xzavier trying to control the position from guard on top but Leng is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Leng bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Xzavier's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Leng is continuing to stall.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Let's hope that Leng has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Xzavier keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Xzavier is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Leng's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Leng's back!

We've been hearing that Xzavier has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Leng is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Xzavier might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

It looks like Ezekiel Xzavier has been cut.

Leng lands a left and a right that send Xzavier crashing to the mat, dazed. Leng thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The Boneless throws out a loose jab but Rousey uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rousey has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Rousey thuds his right hand into The Boneless's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The Boneless on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
The Boneless loads up on a big right hand but Rousey slips the punch.

And Rousey tries to counter it with a takedown but The Boneless pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Rousey throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. The Boneless tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rousey is in The Boneless's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've been informed that Smashterov has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
The Viking lands a nice hook to Smashterov's body. Smashterov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Smashterov bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Smashterov throws a nice outside leg kick.
Oh The Viking is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
BAM! Smashterov delivers a spinning backfist that drops The Viking like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

After the fight, Zangief Smashterov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
