The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rudskogen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Ofenloch told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horror takes the fight into the clinch. I was talking to Makana's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Horror lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Makana blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Horror gets a trip takedown into half guard. Makana wants to stand back up but Horror manages to pass into side control.
Makana regains half guard there - taking advantage of Horror's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Horror is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Makana flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Rocky Horror decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King throws a hook but De Andrade avoids it easily. King displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as De Andrade throws out the jab. King throws out a loose jab but De Andrade uses good head movement to avoid it. King works the jab nicely. De Andrade ducks under a wild hook from King. De Andrade tests King's chin there with a solid looking shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. De Andrade walks into a left hand. Good shot there by King.

and De Andrade counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. King uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from De Andrade. King swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. De Andrade lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Dwayne King has been cut. King throws a leg kick but De Andrade sees it coming and moves out of range. A little jabbing left from De Andrade on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. King misses with an uppercut

That was a close round but I would say that Dwayne King will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dwayne King's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
