Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lobsta Mang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Grey Te Whena! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Te Whena tries to clinch but Mang moves out of range. Te Whena forces Mang back against the cage and clinches. Come on Te Whena - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Te Whena throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mang blocks it with crossed arms. Mang tries for a takedown. No joy.
Te Whena goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mang prevents it.
Mang gets underhooks to prevent Te Whena's takedown attempt.

Te Whena creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mang sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Mang keeps Te Whena under control for a moment. Te Whena tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Te Whena has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Te Whena misses with the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mang avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Te Whena. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Te Whena landing strikes. Te Whena in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Te Whena goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mang has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Te Whena but great work by Mang. Te Whena looks gassed! Mang working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Te Whena gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Mang lands strikes from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mang passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Te Whena! Te Whena taking shots to the head. Mang trying to control but Te Whena is having none of it. Te Whena keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Lobsta Mang will probably get the nod. That's time! Mang's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Mang slips a nice elbow through Te Whena's hands, connecting with Te Whena's forehead. Te Whena is not content to let Mang control the position. Te Whena has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mang moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Te Whena. Te Whena is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mang scores with a couple of short elbows. Te Whena is not content to let Mang control the position. Mang misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Mang throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Mang thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Te Whena tries to improve position but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mang wants to control but Te Whena is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Te Whena fails with a takedown attempt. Mang throws a body punch but Te Whena moves out of range. Mang slips a jab from Te Whena. Te Whena wants to clinch up but Mang keeps it at a distance. Mang moves out of range of the body kick from Te Whena.
Mang blocks a jab. A combination from Mang does no damage. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mang.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Te Whena darts in trying to clinch and Mang counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Te Whena throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Te Whena has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mang finds it's way round the side to connect with Te Whena's head. A solid leg kick lands there for Mang.

You can see the frustration on Te Whena's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mang wants to control but Te Whena is keeping him busy. Mang lands some shots froms side control. Mang advances to full mount. Te Whena is desperately trying to improve his position but Mang has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lobsta Mang dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Mang moves into the clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Mang. A nice glancing elbow lands by Te Whena. Mang stalls. Mang pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mang clinches up with Te Whena and pushes him back against the cage. Te Whena tries to stall but Mang uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Arts connects with a solid leg kick. Arts tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Arts throws a front kick aimed at Anderson's knee but Anderson avoids it well. Arts moves in looking to clinch but Anderson pushes him off. Anderson avoids the head kick by Arts.
Anderson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Arts fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Anderson checks it well. A swing and a miss from Arts. Anderson closes the distance and clinches up with Arts, looking for a takedown. Anderson pushes Arts against the cage but Arts circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A big left from Arts misses. Anderson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Anderson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Arts's head. Arts scoring well with a low kick there.

Anderson clinches up against the cage. Anderson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Arts gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Blight missing with a left hand there. Uno was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Uno fails to land the takedown. Uno tries to clinch up. Uno walks into a straight right hand from Blight. Blight changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. A shot to the liver by Blight. Beautiful body shot. A cross from Blight lands. Uno tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Uno lands a lovely overhand right. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fing was covering up waiting for the punch and Harper finishes the takedown easily into guard. Fing lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Harper! Harper is looking to get to half guard. Fing takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
