4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Greene! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nin Ja Tendo! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tendo gets caught flat footed, as Greene shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Greene trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Greene landing with the ground and pound. Greene in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Greene lands a couple of elbows. Greene with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Greene lands a couple of digs. Greene is in close to Tendo's body, working some short punches and elbows. Greene trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Greene makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tendo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Tendo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tendo managing to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Greene keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tendo's head. Greene postures up.
Tendo wants to stand up but Greene is controlling him. Tendo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Greene lands a couple of elbows. Greene cracks Tendo with a solid left hand. Tendo wants to sweep here but Greene controlling him for the moment. Greene trying to control the position from guard on top but Tendo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Greene is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tendo pulls Greene in to control the position. Tendo keeping moving, preventing Greene from controlling successfully. Greene lands a couple of digs. Tendo wants to stand but Greene is controlling the position. Greene controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Tendo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tendo is on top in guard.
Greene on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Greene tries to get out of the position. Tendo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Tendo fails with an attempt to clinch.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Tendo enables Greene to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tendo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Greene distracts Tendo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Greene won't allow Tendo to get back to his feet. Greene scoring with some ground and pound. Greene won't allow Tendo to get back to his feet. Tendo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Greene works over Tendo with some ground and pound from guard. Greene with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Greene landing some decent shots from guard. Tendo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tendo wants to control from the top but Greene keeps moving. Tendo tries to free his leg and advance position but Greene is retaining full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Greene is on top in guard.

Tendo wants to stand but Greene is controlling the position. Tendo pushes Greene off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Greene scores with a nice strike. Nin Ja Tendo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Greene connects with the punch. Greene lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Greene dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Tendo takes one on the button.
Tendo is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round! Greene knocks out Tendo with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Greene before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Greene picks up the big W with a huge KO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perkele throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gustav's waist but Gustav gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perkele off to one side. Perkele tries to keep at a distance but Gustav has taken the fight into the clinch. Gustav works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Gustav lands a body punch. Perkele blocks an elbow strike. Gustav goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Gustav. Perkele gets through Gustav's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Gustav. Perkele swings away with an uppercut that misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gustav misses with an elbow over the top. Perkele jumps guard but Gustav stands there with Perkele around his waist. Perkele gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Gustav wants to clinch but Perkele slips to the side and Perkele counters with a nice uppercut. Perkele looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Perkele misses with a double jab.

The crowd cheers as Perkele lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gustav doesn't seem phased though. Gustav moves to clinch but Perkele breaks away and Perkele counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Perkele lands a body shot.
Perkele connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Gustav looks winded! Perkele throws a one two combo.
Perkele cracks Gustav's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Gustav slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Perkele can do further damage! This one is done, son!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stalin is looking to clinch. Stalin ducks under a wild hook from Daly. Stalin wants to clinch. Stalin tries to clinch but Daly moves out of range. Daly connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Daly waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Stalin. Stalin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Daly manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Daly throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stalin is looking to counter punch. We've been informed that Daly has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Daly loads up on a big right hand but Stalin slips the punch. Stalin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Stalin fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Daly covers up and Stalin unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ueli's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Walker has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rabid Dog in the buildup to the fight. Ueli shoots in but Walker avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ueli closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. You can see the frustration on Walker's face as Ueli controls the position. Walker wants to get back to his feet. Walker is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Ueli landing a few strikes. Walker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Walker tries to get out of the position. Walker wants to get back to his feet. Walker tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Ueli lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Ueli.

Our spies down at at JAG Battle Gym inform us that Ueli has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Ueli has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Walker. Walker manages to stand up with Ueli still on his back. Eventually Ueli drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. A cross from Walker lands. Walker lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Ueli manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Walker on his heels. He'll look to pass Walker's guard now, I'm sure. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Walker manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Ueli ducks right into an uppercut from Walker. Ueli dives in and grabs Walker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Walker pushes down on Ueli's head and hops out. Walker bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ueli's head backwards. Ueli shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walker pinned against the cage. Walker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Schael Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dierk Ueli.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawthorne sends Day crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hawthorne is motioning to the referee to let Day up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Ground Day has been cut. Hawthorne lands a body shot.
Day with a poor takedown and Hawthorne counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Day out cold! What a finish! Hawthorne is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gacy tries to clinch up. Gacy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Raper looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Gacy closes the distance but Raper moves to the side and Raper counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like John Gacy has been cut. A solid leg kick lands there for Raper.
Raper misses with a wild body shot. Gacy is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Raper walks into a jab. Gacy thows a left - swing and a miss! Gacy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Raper.
Gacy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Gacy pushes Raper up against the cage in a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Raper can't find room to land a body shot as Gacy controls the action.
Raper's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gacy has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gacy there as he acknowledges the shot. Good shot there by Raper. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gacy moves into the clinch. Nice body punch from Raper - that landed with a thud.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raper unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Gacy! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Raper is unloading with more strikes now! Gacy drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Biff Raper! A very excited looking Biff Raper made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. The defeated John Gacy had this to say: 'I win that fight 9 out of 10 times, he just got lucky'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maeda is trying hard to land a takedown here. Valentine sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Valentine lands a nice looking body shot.
Valentine shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Maeda manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Maeda is looking for a triangle but Valentine pushes his legs off easily.

Maeda felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Valentine is riding his opponent, not letting Maeda buck him off. Maeda wants to control his opponent's hands but Valentine gets his hands free. Maeda defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Valentine's arms. Valentine doesn't have the hooks in and Maeda manages to turn into his guard.
Valentine keeping moving, preventing Maeda from controlling successfully. Maeda postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Valentine is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Maeda, into his guard.

Valentine tries to free his leg and advance position but Maeda is retaining full guard. Valentine controls from within his opponent's guard. Valentine avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Is there anything that Maeda can do to turn this around? Maeda tries to hold on but Valentine pushes him away. Maeda is trying to reverse the position but instead Valentine has taken his back - oops!
