The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kickboxer pinned against the cage. Kickboxer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kickboxer went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Kickboxer moves into range and connects with a jab. Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gracie showed some decent athleticism there. Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kickboxer defends it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie is working for a kimura but Kickboxer is defending it quite comfortably.

Kickboxer struggling a bit here. Kickboxer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground. Gracie wants to control but Kickboxer is keeping him busy. Gracie is trying to get an arm triangle but Kickboxer is defending well. Kickboxer can't do much from the bottom here.

Kickboxer misses with a hook. Gracie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kickboxer defends it nicely. Gracie dives in and grabs Kickboxer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kickboxer pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out. Hawaiian Kickboxer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricardo Gracie. Gracie misses with a takedown attempt - Kickboxer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kickboxer is looking for a counter combo. Gracie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kickboxer avoids it really well and circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gracie walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Diame Jr fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Spud to the ground. Diame Jr is now in Spud's guard. Diame Jr pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Spud is keeping the position for now. Diame Jr content to stall in guard here. Diame Jr looking to pass the guard. 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xing Pugberg! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis looks to land a combination but Pugberg avoids it well. Pugberg feints the counter takedown. Pugberg avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pugberg lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Davis jabs Pugberg to the body, keeping him at a distance. Pugberg closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Pugberg looking to score a takedown here. Davis is defending well but Pugberg drives through and ends up in Davis's guard. Davis tries to land a sweep but no joy. Davis looking to control.
Pugberg won't allow Davis to sweep him here. Pugberg postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Davis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pugberg, into his guard.

But no, Davis has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Xing Pugberg showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Davis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pugberg on the side of the head. A jab from Pugberg finds it's way through Davis's defenses. Pugberg goes for a double leg but Davis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Davis continues to drive forward. Pugberg slips under a jab. Davis just misses with a punch to the body.
Davis misses with a wild body shot. Davis throws a series of punches but Pugberg avoids them all with ease. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Pugberg throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Davis. Jab, jab by Pugberg - just one landing. Davis takes a shot right to the bread basket. Pugberg shoots in and bounces Davis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Davis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Davis is on top in guard.

Davis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Davis wanted to stand there but Pugberg had control of the position. Davis content to stall in guard here. No, Davis has managed to get both his arms back between Pugberg's legs - danger averted. Pugberg is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Davis defends well. Pugberg has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Pugberg is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pugberg is trying to control the position but Davis postures up.

Davis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Pugberg is looking for a triangle but Davis pushes his legs off easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shifter looks for a takedown but Wangler sprawls well. Wangler unleashes a big counter combination but Shifter bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Wangler throws a big shot that misses. Shifter appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. We've been informed that Wangler has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Wangler is looking to land body kicks. Wangler tried to score with a low kick but Shifter checks it. Shifter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Wangler lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Shifter fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Some bone on bone action there as Shifter checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Shifter half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jones tries to throw a body punch but Zaidi avoids it by throwing Jones back against the cage. Zaidi lands a shot to the body. Zaidi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Zaidi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Zaidi shoots in and gets a takedown into Jones's guard. Zaidi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Zaidi has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted. Zaidi scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Zaidi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zaidi defends well. Zaidi with a nice head shot there. Zaidi stands up over Jones, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zaidi is one step ahead there. Zaidi throws a big elbow that misses. Zaidi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jones is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Zaidi, into his guard.
Zaidi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jones is pushing down on Zaidi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Zaidi is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones has managed to sneak the leg through. Zaidi is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Westside Martial Arts that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Zaidi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jones is keen to just control but Zaidi is a slippery customer. Zaidi works his way to full guard. Good work. Jones works a leg free and moves into half guard. Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Zaidi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jones moves into full mount! Zaidi won't be happy about that! Zaidi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones wants to control the pace but Zaidi is squirming around nicely. Jones is landing with some decent strikes but Zaidi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zaidi is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Zaidi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Zaidi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That was a close round but I would say that Mohsin Zaidi will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Zaidi swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones. Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zaidi's waist but Zaidi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Zaidi misses with a body kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Zaidi does a little dance to reset his feet. Nice shot by Zaidi. Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zaidi throws out the jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. San Diego ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. San Diego on the wrong end of a nice jab. San Diego circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Sheedy to the canvas! Sheedy doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - San Diego keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
