Undercard bout

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hadjiril Matba (ranked 23736 p4p, 446 weight class) and Jung Hoon Sung (ranked 7304 p4p, 425 weight class). Matba comes to the ring accompanied by B.Y.O.B .. Jung Hoon Sung told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matba just misses with a punch to the body.
Sung steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Matba.
Matba misses with a head kick.
Sung throws a nice looking combination but Matba bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Sung looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Matba!
Sung scores with a couple of short elbows.
Matba seems a little lost for a moment, as Sung dominates the positioning.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Matba gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Matba tries to roll over but Sung keeps him under control.
Sung is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Sung working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Matba has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Sung. Oh but Matba has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Sung goes limp - he's gone! Matba jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
