13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Darrel Petersen! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McNamara uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Petersen.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Petersen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Petersen misses with a wild body shot. Petersen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. McNamara looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. McNamara lands with a kick to the temple. Petersen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" A punch combination from McNamara misses. McNamara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Petersen lands with a hook. McNamara tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Petersen takes a swing at McNamara's ribcage but misses. McNamara misses with an attempted mid kick.
Petersen feints the counter takedown. McNamara connects with an inside leg kick. McNamara throws the left hand but Petersen avoids the punch easily. Petersen throws a right and a left that McNamara avoids nicely. Petersen scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. A cross from McNamara lands. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McNamara listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Petersen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Petersen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Petersen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Petersen sitting and controlling from the half guard. McNamara tries to roll over but Petersen keeps him under control. Petersen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Kincaid tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Cash swings away with a leg kick that misses. Cash slips under a jab from Kincaid. Cash connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kincaid. Kincaid circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Kincaid ducks right into an uppercut from Cash. That kick from Cash tenderised Kincaid's leg. Kincaid is trying to keep his angry face on. Cash bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kincaid's head backwards. Kincaid uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cash.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kincaid needs to keep his hands up - Cash had a free shot at his head there. Cash checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. The fighters circle momentarily. Cash darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Cash ducks under a wild hook from Kincaid. MacFarlane has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Silva throws a hook to the side of MacFarlane's head but MacFarlane sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Silva throws a sloppy head kick enabling MacFarlane to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Richard Silva has been cut. MacFarlane throws a hook but Silva avoids it easily. Silva closes the distance looking to clinch and MacFarlane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. MacFarlane fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Silva checks it well. Wilson throws a series of punches but Alexandrov avoids them all with ease. Alexandrov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Wilson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alexandrov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alexandrov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Alexandrov chips away with some ground and pound. Wilson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Alexandrov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Alexandrov is pulling down on Wilson's head. It's preventing any offense from Wilson, at least for the moment. Wilson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alexandrov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Alexandrov lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Alexandrov postures up and lands a big shot to Wilson's brow.
