With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Daddy Yo-Yo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Yo-Yo moves out of range easily.
Yo-Yo misses with a series of wild punches.
Lee throws the left hand but Yo-Yo avoids the punch easily.
Yo-Yo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Lee throws a lazy head kick
and Yo-Yo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Lee shoots in and gets a takedown into Yo-Yo's guard.
Lee wants to control from the top but Yo-Yo keeps moving.
Lee is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Touch Of Death Combat Academy that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Lee is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Yo-Yo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vettori gets the takedown into side control.

Vettori is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Duffy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Duffy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Duffy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vettori haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

It seemed like Duffy was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Vettori definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Vettori feints and then cracks Duffy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Duffy down.

Vettori feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Carney Duffy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marvin Vettori.

I think Spong might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 2Pac - I'm A Soldier (Echale Mojo Remix) . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
