The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvado misses with a right hand and Alvado takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Alvado lands with a hook. Misalooba tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Misalooba slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Misalooba lands a jab to the nose. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Alvado, right into the meat.
Misalooba scores with a one two! Alvado had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Misalooba takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Misalooba drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A punch lands to the side of Alvado 's head but he takes it in his stride. Misalooba checks a leg kick. Alvado throws the kick towards the body but Misalooba avoids it. Alvado tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Misalooba was well out of range. Poor timing from Alvado. A little feinted left hand from Misalooba on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Alvado wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Misalooba sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Alvado looks for the body kick but Misalooba saw that one coming. Misalooba looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Misalooba misses with a two punch combination.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bob shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Petersen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Petersen trying to control the position.
Bob with a nice head shot there. Petersen is trying to keep Bob in close.
Petersen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bob. Bob with a flurry of punches that miss. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bob postures up.
Our spies down at at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter inform us that Petersen has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Bob works over Petersen with some ground and pound from guard. Bob throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bob stands up over Petersen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Petersen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bob tries to get to full guard but Petersen has control of the leg. Petersen is trying to work for a kimura but Bob is defending well.

Bob wants to sweep but no luck. Bob keeping moving, preventing Petersen from controlling successfully. Petersen stopping the sweep attempt from Bob. Bob is working hard here to advance position. Petersen drops back looking for a leg! Bob is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bob manages to kick Petersen off! Petersen jumps back into Bob's guard. Bob wants to sweep here but Petersen controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Petersen advances position into side control! Petersen trying to control the position but Bob is working away. Bob gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Bob is looking for a sweep. Petersen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We've been hearing good reports from Bob's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Bob is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Petersen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Petersen's back! Bob misses with punches from the back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Petersen is keeping busy.

Petersen covering up well under a series of strikes from Bob. Bob somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Petersen grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Petersen is trying to break free.
Bob is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Petersen knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Petersen for a finish. Bob misses with an elbow to the head. Bob cracks Petersen with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Petersen from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Bob is landing with strikes from the back. Bob lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Petersen is rocked! Bob is throwing strikes but Petersen counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Petersen regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob tries to stand and escape but Petersen is controlling the position. Petersen is looking for a sweep. Bob is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bob is looking to stall here but Petersen recovers full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Bob throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Petersen works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Petersen trying to keep a closed guard but Bob is proving a slippery customer.

Petersen throws a shot from downtown. Bob moves away and avoids it. Gorgeous Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bob throws a body shot but no joy. Petersen drives through with a takedown into Bob's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Bob looking to hit a scissor sweep but Petersen is one step ahead there. Gorgeous Bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Petersen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bob is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Petersen has his hands clasped together but Bob extends and breaks Petersen's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bob.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boag swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Boag, right into the meat.
Chris Boag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boag lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Boag throws a body shot but no joy. Thomas throws a half hearted mid kick. Boag throws a hook but Thomas blocks it. It looked like Thomas was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Boag. Boag works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Boag lands a glancing blow to the side of Thomas's head. Boag throws a head kick that Thomas semi-blocks.

and Thomas counters with a nice uppercut. Thomas shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Boag throws out a counter right but Thomas avoids it with no problem. Boag chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Thomas can pounce on him.
Thomas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Boag pinned against the cage. Boag gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boag shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Thomas is looking to counter the offense by Boag and move into the clinch. We've been hearing reports that Thomas has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Thomas bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Boag misses with a body kick. Thomas is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Boag.

Boag dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Thomas. That did some damage! Thomas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thomas takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Boag, as that shot connected.

and Thomas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Thomas needs to keep his hands up - Boag had a free shot at his head there. Boag throws a lazy uppercut

Boag is looking to chop away at Thomas's legs. Thomas is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boag blocks a head kick by Thomas.
Thomas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Boag has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jax Thomas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thomas takes one on the chin but seems OK.

I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Thomas is keen to just control but Boag is a slippery customer. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Thomas lands a nice short elbow. Boag is trying to stand.

Marceau misses with a few strikes there.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thud! ouch! good body kick from Zulu - that will leave a mark!
Bell takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Bell moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Zulu throws the left hand but Bell avoids the punch easily. Bell was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Bell slips under a jab. Bell slips a straight right by Zulu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bell walks into a straight right hand from Zulu. Bell misses with a left hand and Zulu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

"I'm sorry" says Zulu. Bell manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Bell drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Nice straight punches there by Zulu. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Zulu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bell ducks under a wild hook from Zulu. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Zulu, as that shot connected.
Zulu drops Bell with a straight right hand, right on the button! Zulu follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
