The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Boise throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bomba shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches De Boise napping and manages to drive through into side control! Bomba passes to full mount! That's big trouble for De Boise! Bomba is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. De Boise can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trecozze closes the distance and clinches up with Dazzler, looking for a takedown. Trecozze pushes Dazzler against the ropes but Dazzler circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. It looked like Dazzler wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Trecozze drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Trecozze in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Dazzler is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sunruz sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Zen's coach down at Pablo's Boxing Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Zen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Zen pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Zen lands with a slapping head kick. Sunruz lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Zen at a distance.
Sunruz misses with a wild body shot. Zen throws a head kick but Sunruz moves out of range.
Sunruz scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Sunruz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Sunruz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Zen! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sunruz lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Sunruz is working Zen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Sunruz with a nice head shot there. Sunruz with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sunruz passes into half guard. Sunruz landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Zen taking some punishment here, with Sunruz in his half guard. Sunruz is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Zen has hold of Sunruz's hands but Sunruz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Zen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sunruz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sunruz's back! Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Zen looking for the choke but no joy.

Hard to tell! Zen swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Sunruz is now in Zen's guard. A big mistake from Zen there, giving up the dominant position! Sunruz distracts Zen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Sunruz is pushing down on Zen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Zen is fighting to maintain full guard but Sunruz has managed to sneak the leg through. Sunruz slips a nice elbow through Zen's hands, connecting with Zen's forehead. Zen looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Zen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sunruz pulls his head out easily. Zen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Sunruz lands strikes from half guard. Zen looking for submissions off his back. Zen wants to get back to full guard.

Zen is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Sunruz lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Zen is still in real trouble! Can Sunruz finish him? Zen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Sunruz is working for a kimura but Zen is defending it quite comfortably.
Sunruz is keen to just control but Zen is a slippery customer. Sunruz uses his free foot to push down on Zen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Zen. Sunruz landing strikes, looking to finish! Sunruz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Sunruz lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Sunruz loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Zen scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Sunruz land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Sunruz stands and salutes the crowd.

Nice body punch from Martynov. A solid body kick from Bielefeld . Bielefeld tries to score a power double leg takedown but Martynov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bielefeld somewhat. No luck for Bielefeld with that takedown attempt. Mikhail Martynov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arminia Bielefeld . Bielefeld throws a head kick but Martynov moves out of range.
Martynov is looking to counter punch. Arminia Bielefeld seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bielefeld shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Martynov but Martynov pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bielefeld connects with an inside leg kick. and Batts Jr takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. White missing with a left hand there. Batts Jr was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Batts Jr dips to his left and cracks White with an uppercut! White takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Batts Jr scores with a punch to the head. White thuds a left hand into Batts Jr's body. White scores with a jab to the body. Batts Jr scores with a nice strike. White scores with a punch to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! White stuns Batts Jr with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. White scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. White throws a shot to the body.
Batts Jr connects with a good right hand that stumbles White. White circles away out of range and recomposes himself. White fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Batts Jr looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that White has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Batts Jr throws an ugly left hook that misses
and White makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Batts Jr connects with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batts Jr looks to land a combination. White sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Batts Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but White moves away. Batts Jr cracks White with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Batts Jr steps to the side to avoid the strikes from White. Batts Jr throws a hook to the side of White's head but White sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. White keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Batts Jr. Batts Jr throws out a loose jab but White uses good head movement to avoid it. White swinging wildly here.
Batts Jr has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from White finds it's way round the side to connect with Batts Jr's head. White has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Batts Jr. White fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Batts Jr manages to avoid it. An attempted straight right counter from Batts Jr misses the target. White drops his hands momentarily and Batts Jr takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. White throws an off balance right hand
and Batts Jr makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. No joy there for Batts Jr, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Batts Jr counters with a nice uppercut. White moves out of range as Batts Jr strikes. Batts Jr throws a hook but White avoids it easily. White drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

This has been an exciting period of action! White looks to land a left hand but Batts Jr moved out of range nicely. Batts Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but White moves away. White let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Nice body punch from Batts Jr. Batts Jr doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. White throws a lazy right hand but Batts Jr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Batts Jr lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

The fighters circling - Batts Jr throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Batts Jr misses the shot to the body. White throws a body punch but Batts Jr moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Batts Jr dominated that round. That's time! Batts Jr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
White throws the left hand but Batts Jr avoids the punch easily. Batts Jr lands with an uppercut that bounces White off the ropes and back into range. Batts Jr throws a leg kick which misses White's front leg but catches the back leg as White tries to avoid it. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but White might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Batts Jr has got the better of the exchanges. Batts Jr moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Batts Jr throws a looping overhand right but White ducks down to avoid it. White is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Batts Jr. Both fighters circling a little - Batts Jr finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. White misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Batts Jr.

Pierre is rocked! Buriak drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Pierre's head, knocking him out cold! Buriak is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

After the fight, Dimitri Buriak was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things.
