Rocks tries to keep at a distance but Magomedov has taken the fight into the clinch.
Magomedov pulls guard. Rocks wants to control from the top but Magomedov keeps moving. Magomedov keeping full guard, as Rocks tries to pass. Rocks wants to control from the top but Magomedov keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Magomedov wants to get back to his feet but Rocks is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rocks content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Magomedov has locked up a guillotine! Magomedov's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Rocks is holding on here and Magomedov must be using up a lot of energy. Rocks has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Magomedov gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Aly Magomedov! After the fight, Aly Magomedov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. The defeated Jason Rocks had this to say: 'You watched fight. I got money. Win-win.'.

Rodriguez feints and as Dirkschneider raises his hands in defense, Rodriguez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Rodriguez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dirkschneider on the ground. Dirkschneider wants to stand but Rodriguez is controlling the position. Rodriguez throwing strikes but missing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dirkschneider avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Dirkschneider preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rodriguez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rodriguez postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Rodriguez distracts Dirkschneider with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Rodriguez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodriguez scoring with some ground and pound. Rodriguez works over Dirkschneider with some ground and pound from guard. Rodriguez cracks Dirkschneider with a solid left hand. That was slick! Rodriguez rolls with it to try and escape but Dirkschneider cranks on the arm and Rodriguez is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Rothco swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Glinner shoots in for a takedown but Rothco shows good takedown defense. Rothco throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Glinner stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Glinner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rothco paws at him with a jab and circles away. A little feinted left hand from Rothco on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Glinner dives in and grabs Rothco's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rothco pushes down on Glinner's head and hops out. Frank Rothco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ross Glinner. Rothco throws a head kick but Glinner moves out of range.
Ross Glinner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Decent striking displayed by Rothco there. Glinner with a poor takedown enabling Rothco to counter with a crisp jab.

Glinner gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rothco counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Glinner out cold! What a finish! Rothco is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

A very excited looking Frank Rothco made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. and Nator counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Lucas Ii shoots in looking for a takedown but Nator manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lucas Ii's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lucas Ii lands a high kick!

and Nator counters with a nice right hand that sends Lucas Ii toppling to the canvas! Lucas Ii scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Nator finish him?!

Bagwis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lambrucci tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bagwis was well out of range. Poor timing from Lambrucci. Bagwis now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Bagwis fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lambrucci checks it well. Bagwis moves out of range as Lambrucci strikes. Lambrucci throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bagwis only half commits to the counter leg kick. Bagwis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lambrucci throws out the jab. Lambrucci walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Bagwis dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bagwis throws a body punch but Lambrucci moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bagwis throws a sloppy head kick and Lambrucci moves out of range easily. Lambrucci is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Lambrucci lands with a nice body punch. Bagwis thows a left - swing and a miss! Lambrucci swings widly with a right hand
and Bagwis counters with a straight right hand.

Lambrucci fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bagwis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Bagwis scores with a jab to the head.
Bagwis thuds his right hand into Lambrucci's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Lambrucci throws a nice looking combination but Bagwis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bagwis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Bagwis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bagwis lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Lambrucci throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lambrucci misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lambrucci throws a series of punches but Bagwis avoids them all with ease.

Bagwis feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lambrucci sprawling to the canvas! Lambrucci rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bagwis finish him?!

Iman is looking for a kimura but Schmidt is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Iman to get the leverage. Schmidt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Schmidt is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Iman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Schmidt keeps control of the position for the meantime. Iman is looking to pass Schmidt's guard but actually Schmidt recovers to full guard. Iman wants to pass the guard but Schmidt is keeping the position. My spies in Crapollas Gym inform me that Iman has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Iman wants to sweep but no luck. Schmidt not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Schmidt is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
