The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karpo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cubbedge moves away.
Cubbedge feinted with a counter takedown.
Crunch! Cubbedge slams his shin into Karpo's torso.
Cubbedge looks to land a right hand but Karpo moved out of range.
Cubbedge tries to bum rush Karpo with a series of wild strikes but Karpo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Karpo misses with a few strikes there.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Karpo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Cubbedge throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Cubbedge throws a front kick aimed at Karpo's knee but Karpo avoids it well.
Karpo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cubbedge .
