Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samuel Cooke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 10 - 2, fighting out of New York, Tanner Pounds! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooke ducks under a wild hook from Pounds. Pounds misses with a hook. Cooke ducked under it nicely. Cooke tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pounds manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Cooke. Cooke changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pounds looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Pounds can't do much from the bottom here. Cooke is looking to take a break and control but Pounds is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cooke working the body and head with strikes. Pounds is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Pounds is not content to let Cooke control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pounds can't do much from the bottom here. Cooke working the ground and pound but Pounds is defending the strikes. Cooke just content to control the position. Cooke has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Pounds! Cooke can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pounds is looking to escape. Cooke cracks Pounds with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cooke landing strikes, looking to finish! Cooke takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. BOOM! Cooke connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Cooke scoring with strikes but Pounds is staying in there. Cooke tries to control but Pounds wriggling away. Cooke will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The referee warns Pounds that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cooke cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Pounds is looking to get to half guard. Cooke putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Cooke lands a big shot there that rocks Pounds but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Cooke lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Cooke breaks from Pounds's wrist control and lands an elbow. Pounds has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Cooke is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Pounds knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Pounds for a finish. Cooke throwing wild punches that miss their target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pounds just trying to survive but Cooke is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Cooke is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Pounds up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cooke working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Cooke looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Cooke throws the left hand but Pounds avoids the punch easily. Cooke is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pounds can do to turn this around? Cooke lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Cooke goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Cooke throws a leg kick but Pounds checks it. Pounds throws a leg kick but Cooke sees it coming and checks it nicely. A little feinted left hand from Cooke on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Some wild striking there from Cooke.

Pounds fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tanner Pounds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cooke throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Pounds dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Pounds on the wrong end of a nice hook. Cooke tries to clinch there but Pounds circles away.

Cooke connects with a leg kick. Pounds looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Pounds misses with a body kick. Pounds looks to score with a jab to the body but Cooke is just out of range. Cooke throws a head kick but Pounds moves out of range.
Pounds is looking for the big counter here. Cooke takes a swing at Pounds's ribcage but misses. Cooke moves into the clinch. Pounds has had enough of the clinch but Cooke keeps him there for the moment. Pounds lands a left hand.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pounds holds on and takes a little breather. Cooke working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lucas throws a sloppy head kick and Biden counters with a crisp one two that drops Lucas! Biden thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lucas to his feet! Lucas is in big trouble!
Lucas is rocked! Lucas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Biden seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Lucas has his takedown stuffed and Biden makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Lucas shoots and misses and Biden counters with a crisp right hand that drops Lucas! Biden lets Lucas back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Lucas is still on wobbly legs! Can Biden finish him? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lucas with a poor takedown and Biden counters with a big left hand that crumples Lucas! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Black defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Alvarez. Black throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Alvarez swinging wildly here.
Alvarez fails with the takedown and Alvarez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Avila Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Black lands a nice leg kick that just misses Alvarez's sensitive parts. Black throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Alvarez on the side of the head. Alvarez misses with a head kick.
Alvarez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Black tries to avoid it but Alvarez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Black to the ground. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seehaver walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Seehaver looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kyle Seehaver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Swearengen throws a shot from downtown. Seehaver moves away and avoids it. Seehaver attempts a counter takedown but Swearengen avoids it well and moves away. Seehaver takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

That's one minute gone in the round. Seehaver takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Seehaver shoots for a double leg takedown but Swearengen sprawls well. He's pushed Seehaver's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A little jabbing left from Swearengen on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Swearengen lands a jab to the head.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knox misses with a takedown attempt and Munday counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Munday looks to score with a jab to the body but Knox is just out of range. Munday shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Knox pinned against the cage. Knox gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Munday lands a nice shot that snaps Knox's head back.
