Hyland walks forward, straight into a front kick from Zy.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Zy.
Hyland tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Zy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Winston Hyland has been cut.

Zy ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Winston Hyland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zy drops Hyland with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hyland looks back up at him and smiles so Zy waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Sully blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

McCallum fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

McCallum feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kossu tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McCallum throws a strike but Kossu rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

McCallum pulls Kossu in close to prevent any damage.
McCallum wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Kossu is now in half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pullum shoots in looking for a takedown. Mad Onion tries to sprawl out of it but Pullum keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mad Onion manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mad Onion wants to stand but Pullum is controlling his posture from full guard.

Pullum escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mad Onion gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mad Onion wants to get up but he can't break Pullum's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

In his post fight interview, Furnum Pullum started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
