The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz is looking to clinch but Stallion is avoiding it.
Stallion lands with an overhand left. Diaz tries to clinch but Stallion moves out of range. Stallion scores with a shot to the body.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Stallion shows good takedown defense. Stallion scores with a one two! Diaz had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Rocky Stallion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diaz looks to clinch and Stallion counters with a stiff right hand. Diaz takes one to the chin there. Diaz checks the leg kick. Diaz shoots in and drives through. Stallion sprawls well. Nice cross by Stallion. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stallion misses with a two punch combination.

Stallion scores with a hook to the body. Diaz takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Diaz is breathing heavily. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stallion swats him away and circles back towards the center. Stallion throws a one two combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A shot to the liver by Stallion. Beautiful body shot. Donk. Stallion catches Diaz right on the button with a cross. Stallion swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Diaz.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stallion fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Diaz checks it well. Diaz moves out of range as Stallion throws a body kick.
Diaz gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Stallion scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Stallion bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Stallion fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Diaz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Stallion connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Diaz scrambles back to his feet. Stallion throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Diaz. Stallion lands with a thumping leg kick.
Stallion tests Diaz's chin there with a solid looking shot. Stallion lands with an uppercut that bounces Diaz off the cage and back into range. Stallion swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And Diaz counters with a quick kick to the body but Stallion blocks it. Donk. Stallion catches Diaz right on the button with a cross. A cross from Stallion lands. Diaz looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Diaz throws a hook but Stallion blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz wants to clinch. Diaz tries to move into range but Stallion moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A jab from Stallion does it's job there. Diaz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stallion swivels and escapes. Stallion lands with a shot to the body. Stallion digs a good body shot into Diaz's ribs. Stallion misses with a double jab.
Stallion lands with a straight right. Diaz didn't see that one coming. Stallion fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Diaz is out of range. Rocky Stallion is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Diaz gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Stallion. Stallion connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Stallion bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Diaz's head backwards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stallion feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Diazs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Diaz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stallion throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Stallion lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Diaz shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Stallion listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Stallion cracks Diaz with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Stallion has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Diaz to stand back up!
Diaz is rocked! Diaz gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Stallion gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Veljko Bakocevic had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Thompson is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bakocevic frees his head nicely. Oh but Thompson has switched to an armbar! Bakocevic is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lahey lands with a right hand. Lahey circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dudayev closes the distance and clinches. Lahey tries to circle away but Dudayev has him pinned against the cage. Lahey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lahey looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dudayev! Dudayev can't do much from the bottom here. Lahey decides to take the fight back to the feet. Dudayev tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dudayev lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dudayev keeps control of Lahey as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Dudayev lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Dudayev scores with an uppercut up the middle. Dudayev can't find room to land a body shot as Lahey controls the action.
Dudayev's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dudayev dodges the punch combination from Lahey.

Dudayev lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dudayev. Dudayev scores with a decent looking hook. Dudayev wants to clinch up but Lahey keeps it at a distance. Dudayev drops Lahey with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lahey looks back up at him and smiles so Dudayev waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Lahey is rocked! Lahey is holding his hands too far apart here. Dudayev throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Lahey is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

Wells quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Wells misses with a left hand and Balls counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Wells swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The crowd cheers as Balls lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wells doesn't seem phased though. Vernon Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wells takes a swing at Balls's ribcage but misses. Balls looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Balls doesn't manage to clinch there - Wells circles away.

That was a close round but I would say that Vernon Wells will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Vernon Wells's cut. That's time! Wells's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Balls works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Vernon Wells is winning the standup battle so far. Wells looks to land a left hand but Balls moved out of range nicely. Wells connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Balls momentarily.
Wells has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Wells misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Balls counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Wells bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wells throws a lazy body kick and Balls counters with a nice right hand that sends Wells toppling to the canvas! Wells scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Balls finish him?!

Petrovs tries for a kimura but Kraag is defending well. Petrovs looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kraag is being controlled here. Petrovs working away. Kraag lands with an uppercut that bounces Petrovs off the cage and back into range. Petrovs throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. It looked like Kraag was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Petrovs. Petrovs lunges at Kraag with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kraag's hand. Petrovs tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kraag counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaspars Petrovs dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kaspars Petrovs's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rram scores with a hook to the body. Valdes takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Rram catches Valdes with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Valdes on the wrong end of a nice hook. No luck for Valdes with that takedown attempt. Valdes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rram stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rram wants it to stay on the feet. Yajson Rram has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daiyan Valdes. Valdes fails with the takedown. Rram displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Valdes. Rram feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Valdess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Valdes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Rram displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Valdes. Yajson Rram seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Rram finds it's way through Valdes's defenses. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Rram lands with a straight right. Valdes didn't see that one coming. We've heard reports from his gym mates at The Forge that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Rram might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rram looking to hit a scissor sweep but Valdes is one step ahead there. Valdes wants to pass the guard but Rram is keeping the position. Rram looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Valdes sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rram's guard. Rram is looking to improve his position.

Rram is concentrating on defense, preventing Valdes from advancing position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Valdes is looking to advance position but Rram won't allow it. Rram looks like he's trying to stand up.

Rram struggling a bit here. Rram tries to buck Valdes off but Valdes is having none of it. Rram manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Valdes shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Rram displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Valdes. Rram stuffs the takedown attempt from Valdes. Valdes gets slowly back to his feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Valdes is defended easily by Rram. He's pushed Valdes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rram steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Valdes's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans.
