The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tacktheritrix looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ferguson!
Ferguson is looking to reverse the position.

Tacktheritrix is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ferguson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Tacktheritrix thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tacktheritrix swings around for an armbar but Ferguson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tacktheritrix's guard.

Ferguson stands and steps away. Tacktheritrix gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Tacktheritrix shoots in looking for a takedown. Ferguson tries to sprawl out of it but Tacktheritrix keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ferguson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ferguson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Tacktheritrix tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ferguson defends well and Tacktheritrix ends up having to push Ferguson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Khalabeeb Ferguson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vergys tries to move into range but Dilbrandt moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Dilbrandt cracks Vergys with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Dilbrandt connects with a solid leg kick.
Dilbrandt closes the distance and lands a one-two.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dilbrandt stuns Vergys with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
That kick from Dilbrandt tenderised Vergys's leg. Vergys is trying to keep his angry face on.

Vergys shoots in for a takedown but Dilbrandt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Vergys's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dilbrandt connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Vergys scrambles back to his feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Vergys or perhaps it was just good defense by Dilbrandt, which made it look bad.

Hugbergsson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mendoza to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mendoza shrugs it off.

Hugbergsson has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Mendoza is defending well but eventually Hugbergsson manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Mendoza has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chomsli looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rodrigues with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Chomsli working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

In his post fight interview, Samuel Rodrigues started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
