The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Shamrock. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lo Zizio can do anything to dispel that myth. Lo Zizio is trying to control Shamrock's posture but Shamrock avoids it. Lo Zizio is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Shamrock is controlling him well. Shamrock is looking to take a break and control but Lo Zizio is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Shamrock is staying tight to Lo Zizio's torso, preventing him from escaping. Lo Zizio wants to get back to his feet but Shamrock drags him back down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shamrock thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Shamrock definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Lo Zizio takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Lo Zizio wants to control but Shamrock postures up.

Lo Zizio trying to control but Shamrock flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Shamrock is working the ground and pound. Can Lo Zizio escape? It looks like Ciccio Lo Zizio has been cut. Shamrock working for the choke. Lo Zizio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shamrock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lo Zizio is trying to stand back up. Shamrock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Shamrock is working for a rear naked choke. Lo Zizio is not defending it well and Shamrock has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Lo Zizio refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Lo Zizio's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Rousey slaps away a takedown attempt from Holloway, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rousey scores with a crisp jab that stopped Holloway in his tracks. Holloway takes one to the side of the head.
Holloway is rocked! Rousey drops Holloway with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Holloway looks back up at him and smiles so Rousey waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

McGuire kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Confederate Railroad - Daddy Never Was The Cadillac Kind. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Robertsson pushes McGuire back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Robertsson tries to pull guard but McGuire forces him back to his feet, against the cage. McGuire misses with some punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! With the fighters clinched against the cage, McGuire creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ralph McGuire is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McGuire lands a big head kick that sends Robertsson tumbling to the mat! McGuire takes a step backwards and waves Robertsson back to his feet - he wants the finish! Robertsson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McGuire paws at him with a jab and circles away. A clash of legs there as Robertsson blocks the low kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McGuire gets caught napping as Robertsson dives in and scores a takedown. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGuire wants to get back to his feet but Robertsson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Robertsson with a flurry of punches that miss. Robertsson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Robertsson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Robertsson throws a big elbow that misses. Robertsson prevents McGuire from getting back to his feet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Robertsson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Robertsson trying to control the position from guard on top but McGuire is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. McGuire lands a lovely overhand right. That has opened up Robert Robertsson's cut even more.

Robertsson is rocked! McGuire is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McGuire throws a right and a left that both miss. Robertsson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Robertsson is still on wobbly legs! Can McGuire finish him? Robertsson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Robertsson seems to have recovered his senses. McGuire breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

We've heard reports from his gym mates at Rivers Edge Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Robertsson cracks McGuire with a solid left hand. Robertsson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McGuire's head. Robertsson landing with the ground and pound. Robertsson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

McGuire looks to land a combination but Robertsson avoids it well. McGuire lands a nice leg kick that just misses Robertsson's sensitive parts.

McGuire jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. McGuire stuffs the takedown. McGuire bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Robertsson's head backwards. McGuire is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Robertsson avoids the body shot from McGuire.
