Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Aaron Lowell (ranked 7077 p4p, 4366 weight class) and Jed Knight (ranked 694 p4p, 572 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lowell might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline . Knight has chosen Linkin Park - In The End (NPT Remix) as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jed Knight was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Lowell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 28 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jed Knight! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knight takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Lowell stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Knight. Lowell moves out of range as Knight strikes. Knight avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Knight throws out a counter right but Lowell avoids it with no problem. Lowell misses the shot to the body. Lowell catches Knight with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Lowell attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A clash of legs there as Knight blocks the low kick. Lowell misses with an uppercut. Knight saw that one coming. Lowell misses with a wild body shot. Knight misses with a series of wild punches.
Knight throws a looping overhand right but Lowell ducks down to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knight bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Knight swings away with a leg kick that misses. Lowell misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Knight counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Knight looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. A head kick misses from Knight. Lowell looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knight swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lowell. Knight on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Lowell tries to clinch but Knight is having none of it. Knight tries to clinch up but Lowell circles away and keeps his distance. Knight is looking to score with low kicks. Knight takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Lowell swings wildly with an uppercut but Knight uses good head movement to avoid it. Knight escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

A close round but Jed Knight will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Lowell does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Knight unleashes a big counter combination but Lowell bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Jab by Lowell. Knight misses with a lunging right hand
and Lowell counters with a three punch combo that has Knight backing up. Knight nods at Lowell to acknowledge the strikes. Lowell fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Knight. Knight lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Lowell darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Lowell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Knight motions for Lowell to come forward. Knight throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A looping hook to the body misses from Knight. Lowell does a little dance to reset his feet. Lowell misses with a low kick.
Lowell moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromKnight. Lowell slips a straight right by Knight. Lowell will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Lowell buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Knight cracks Lowell with an open hand slap. It looks like Aaron Lowell has been cut. That kick from Knight tenderised Lowell's leg. Lowell is trying to keep his angry face on. Lowell throws a right hand that Knight ducks under and follows up with a left that Knight also avoids with ease. Lowell connects with a solid leg kick. Knight blocks the body kick.
