The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. It looks like Baldur Torsten has been cut. Torsten thuds his shin into the meat of Nelson's side. Nelson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Torsten uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nelson.

Earle Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Torsten. Nelson takes a swing at Torsten's ribcage but misses. Nelson with the inside leg kick. Torsten takes a shot right to the bread basket. A shot to the liver by Torsten. Beautiful body shot. Nelson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Torsten. It looks like Earle Nelson has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nelson takes a swing at Torsten's ribcage but misses. Nelson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at House of 1000 Corpses in the buildup to the fight. Nelson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Torsten.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torsten tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nelson was well out of range. Poor timing from Torsten. Nelson wants to clinch up but Torsten keeps it at a distance. Nelson throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Torsten counters with a body kick. Nelson is breathing heavily. Torsten lands a leg kick that knocks Nelson off balance momentarily. Torsten drops Nelson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nelson looks back up at him and smiles so Torsten waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Nelson is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Torsten throws a leg kick which misses Nelson's front leg but catches the back leg as Nelson tries to avoid it. Oh Nelson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Torsten lands with a good body shot. Nelson seems to have got his legs back now. Torsten lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Nelson crumples to the floor! Torsten milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hullu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Barnhardt throws out the jab. Hullu fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Barnhardt has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Good exchange - Hullu coming out on top. A low kick from Barnhardt is predictable there and Hullu counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hullu is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Barnhardt seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Barnhardt working a defensive guard here.

Heppu Hullu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Heppu Hullu's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Hullu moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Hullu stuns Barnhardt with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Hullu scores with a spinning back kick! Barnhardt misses with a head kick.

Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Barnhardt is in trouble.

Barnhardt wants to stand but Hullu has his arm trapped. Barnhardt controlling the position from side mount. Barnhardt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Barnhardt looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Hullu working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Barnhardt is in a bad position with Hullu working for a choke. Barnhardt manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment. Barnhardt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hullu looking for a guillotine here but Barnhardt defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barnhardt won't allow Hullu to sweep him here. Ronnie Barnhardt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hullu keeping full guard, as Barnhardt tries to pass. Barnhardt looking to sit in guard and control but Hullu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Barnhardt throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Barnhardt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hullu wants to control from the top but Barnhardt keeps moving.

He has the arm isolated but Cirelli is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Cirelli wants to control but Simon postures up. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cirelli is not content to let Simon control the position. Simon tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cirelli struggling a bit here. Cirelli tries to improve position but can't. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cirelli gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Cirelli tries to hold on but Simon pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close third round but Jay Simon just about did enough to take it. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Cirelli lands a jab to the head.
Simon has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Cirelli. Simon looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. That kick from Cirelli tenderised Simon's leg. Simon is trying to keep his angry face on. Simon's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. A solid leg kick lands there for Cirelli.

Cirelli connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Simon momentarily.
