With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shawn Briggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Geoff Jeffries! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Briggs has his takedown stuffed and Jeffries counters with a lovely shot to the body. No luck with that takedown attempt from Briggs. Briggs clinches up with Jeffries and pushes him back against the cage. Briggs manages to break the clinch.
Jeffries lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Briggs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Horrible takedown attempt by Briggs or perhaps it was just good defense by Jeffries, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Briggs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Good standup being displayed there by Jeffries as he connects with a hook. Briggs closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Briggs is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jeffries doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Briggs. Jeffries is looking for a sweep. Briggs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jeffries really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Briggs. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Briggs seems to be working for a kimura but Jeffries defends the submission attempt. Jeffries has his hands clasped together around Briggs's back. He's all about the action. Briggs stalling. Jeffries trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Jeffries should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Briggs looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jeffries wants to control but Briggs is having none of it. Jeffries just holding on. Jeffries tries to lock up and control but Briggs gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Briggs is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jeffries has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Nice work there by Jeffries and Briggs has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Jeffries darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Briggs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jeffries's waist but Jeffries gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Briggs off to one side. Jeffries lands with a straight right. Briggs didn't see that one coming. Briggs shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jeffries defends it nicely. Briggs tries to clinch but Jeffries moves away and Jeffries counters with a nice body shot. Geoff Jeffries is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fighters circle momentarily. Briggs darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Briggs gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Shawn Briggs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jeffries throws a one two combo.
A cross from Jeffries lands. Briggs looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Jeffries gets tackled into the cage by Briggs. Briggs maintains the clinch. Jeffries is trying to break the clinch but Briggs has him pressed against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Geoff Jeffries showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Jeffries throws a body shot but no joy. Jeffries throws out a leg kick but Briggs moves out of range and Jeffries only half commits. Briggs tries for a takedown but Jeffries circles away easily and Jeffries counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Briggs throws a right hand that misses
and Jeffries counters with a left to the body. Briggs fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Briggs shoots for a takedown but Jeffries saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Briggs. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Briggs bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jeffries explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jeffries scores with a nice right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round. Briggs gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jeffries counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Briggs shoots in for a takedown but Jeffries shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jeffries displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Briggs. Briggs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jeffries uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. No luck with that takedown attempt from Briggs. Briggs tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jeffries swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jeffries has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jeffries gets caught napping as Briggs dives in and scores a takedown. Jeffries manages to retain guard. Briggs pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jeffries is keeping the position for now. Briggs wants to control from the top but Jeffries keeps moving. Briggs controls from within his opponent's guard. Jeffries is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jeffries tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Briggs.

Jeffries prevents Briggs from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Briggs looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Well, if Jeffries is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Briggs has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jeffries is working away from the top position though. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Briggs looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A nice side step and Fizzelstiks releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Fizzelstiks circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fizzelstiks looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Fizzelstiks swats away the attempt to clinch by Wad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wad has closed the distance and engaged Fizzelstiks in a clinch.
Wad pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wad darts in trying to clinch and Fizzelstiks counters with a crisp right hand that drops Wad! Fizzelstiks lets Wad back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Wad is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Wad lands a jab-cross combination. Oh Wad is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Fizzelstiks misses with an uppercut. Wad saw that one coming. Wad throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Fizzelstiks lands with a nice body punch. Wad moves to clinch but Fizzelstiks breaks away and Fizzelstiks counters with a right hand from hell and Wad is out cold! A vicious knockout!

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. This has been an exciting period of action! Thunder throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

and Brown counters with a two punch combo. Leroy Brown is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Brown connects with a high kick. Brown throws a big shot that misses. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brown tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Thunder wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Brown throws a head kick that misses. Brown throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Thunder counters with a head kick that drops Brown to the mat! Brown scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! Brown is rocked!

Brown is still on wobbly legs! Can Thunder finish him? Brown gets tackled into the cage by Thunder . Thunder maintains the clinch. Thunder goes for a takedown in the clinch but Brown prevents it.
Brown seems to have recovered his senses. Brown's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Brown throws a sloppy head kick letting Thunder counter with a right hand. Brown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

They are putting on a show! Thunder flashes Brown a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Brown's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Brown crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Thunder punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Purcell is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well. Purcell looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Jackson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Jackson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Purcell. He's got his arms around Harris's waist but Harris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kyshenko off to one side. Kordell Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raul Kyshenko. Harris lands a left and a right that send Kyshenko crashing to the mat, dazed. Harris thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Kyshenko is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Harris lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kyshenko at a distance.
Kyshenko is still on wobbly legs! Can Harris finish him? Harris jabs Kyshenko to the body, keeping him at a distance. Kyshenko seems to have recovered his senses. Harris cracks Kyshenko's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Kyshenko slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Harris can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Raate Road spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. In defeat, Mickey Garcia stepped up to the mic, saying 'Can't believe the commission let me fight with Hep C...'.
