Kelly dives in for a single leg takedown but Biggio sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alphonso Biggio.

Zadernovskiy looks for the body kick but Stevens saw that one coming.
Zadernovskiy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stevens moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Zadernovskiy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stevens swivels and escapes.

Zadernovskiy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kennedy is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Rizzo flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Rizzo is out cold! Kennedy holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Malayon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Carter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carter tries to get out of the position.
Malayon's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Malayon preventing the sweep.
Carter seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Carter being controlled here, momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malayon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Carter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Malayon, pushing him back against the cage.

Malayon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Malayon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Malayon seems keen to control Carter's posture.
Carter controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Malayon has control of Carter's left arm, preventing Carter from doing any damage.
Malayon is continuing to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Malayon has taken the fight to the clinch.
Malayon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carter walks away with a smile on his face. Malayon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Malayon manages to pull guard.
Carter controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Malayon is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Carter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Malayon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Malayon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carter's guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Malayon decides to return to a standing position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Malayon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Carter smiles and moves away.

and Carter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carter sends Malayon crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Carter is motioning to the referee to let Malayon up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Carter closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Malayon out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
