We've been hearing good reports from Morgan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maestre has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tua .
Maestre looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Tua takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Maestre lands a big right hand that sends Tua crashing to the mat! Maestre stays standing though and waves Tua back to his feet!

Tua has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Maestre throws a hook to the side of Tua 's head but Tua sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Tua was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Oooooh!!! Maestre has knocked Tua down with a huge combo! Maestre steps away and waves a wobbly Tua back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Maestre lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tua circles away quickly and effectively.
Tua seems to have recovered his senses.

Maestre drops Tua with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Tua looks back up at him and smiles so Maestre waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Luis Maestre!
A relieved looking Luis Maestre thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
