The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rooster with a poor takedown
enabling Hog to counter with a crisp jab.
Hog thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hog throws a poor cross that misses

and Rooster counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hog won't be happy with that.

Hog explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Rooster slips under a jab from Hog.
Rooster fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hog avoids it really well and circles away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rooster shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hog but Hog pushes him off and we're back to square one.
John Hog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darlan Rooster.
Hog connects with a combination that backs up Rooster into the cage. Hog lands a flurry of punches that gets past Rooster's guard. Rooster is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Hog bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

John Hog decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
