Yuslanovich fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pervitin on the side of the head.
Yuslanovich is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pervitin.
Pervitin feinted with a counter takedown.
Yuslanovich swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Yuslanovich shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pervitin as he jumps to the side.

We've been hearing reports that Pervitin has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Atanase Teodor was cancelled.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joestar scores with a decent looking hook.
Joestar jabs Leal to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Joestar feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Leals jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Joestar cracks Leal with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Joestar has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Leal to stand back up!
Leal is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Leal chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Joestar can pounce on him.
Leal is still on wobbly legs! Can Joestar finish him?
No joy there for Joestar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Leal looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Joestar sends Leal crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Joestar is motioning to the referee to let Leal up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Johan Joestar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joestar drops Leal with a straight right hand, right on the button! Joestar follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Burns throws a hook but McCarty avoids it easily.
McCarty feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Burnss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
McCarty misses the jab.
Burns looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McCarty missing with a left hand there. Burns was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
McCarty tries to move into range but Burns moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Darren McCarty has been cut.
McCarty ducks under a wild hook from Burns.
Burns throws a jab when McCarty was well out of range.
McCarty avoids the body shot from Burns.
McCarty throws a one two combo.
Burns slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A telegraphed right hand from Burns misses the target.
Burns uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McCarty.
An attempted straight right counter from Burns misses the target.
McCarty moves away from the strike by Burns.
Darren McCarty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burns swings for the body but McCarty moves out of range.
Burns moves out of range of the strikes.

McCarty dodges the punch combination from Burns.
Burns is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Burns throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McCarty stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Burns's jab looks to have found its range, popping McCarty under the eye.
Burns gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! McCarty gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Burns is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mitsugu Takeishi was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Takeishi lands a nice looking body shot.
Takeishi tries to clinch up but Steve circles away and keeps his distance.

and Steve counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Takeishi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Takeishi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The crowd cheers as Steve lands an impressive looking overhand right. Takeishi doesn't seem phased though.
Takeishi throws the left hand but Steve avoids the punch easily.
Steve lands a front kick.
Steve takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Takeishi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Steve counters with a stiff right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steve feints and then cracks Takeishi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Takeishi down.
Steve keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Takeishi.
Takeishi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Steve throws out the jab.
A lazy left from Steve finds it's target.
Steve scores with a shot to the body.
Nice body punch from Steve.
Takeishi looks winded!
Steve lands with a cross.

Takeishi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Steve is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Takeishi on the wrong end of a nice jab.
A slow jab from Takeishi misses its intended target.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nice body kick there by Steve.
Steve lands with a shot to the body.
Steve lands a leg kick that knocks Takeishi off balance momentarily.
Takeishi walks forward, straight into a front kick from Steve.
Takeishi walks into a straight right hand from Steve.
Takeishi takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Steve cracks Takeishi with an open hand slap.
Takeishi is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steve lands a nice looking body kick.
Takeishi is still on wobbly legs! Can Steve finish him?
Steve cracks Takeishi with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Takeishi tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Steve pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Takeishi is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yago Steve!
An out of breath Yago Steve thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
