With a record of 46 - 40 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trent Punchy! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Star Platinum throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Punchy. Star Platinum drives through and clinches with Punchy against the cage.
Star Platinum has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Punchy clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Star Platinum controlling well, preventing Punchy from escaping the position.
Punchy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Punchy rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Punchy works his way to full guard. Good work. Star Platinum sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Punchy's guard. He's simply no match for Punchy on the ground. Star Platinum desperately trying to maintain half guard. Star Platinum is trying to get back to full guard. Punchy is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Star Platinum tries to lock up and control but Punchy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Punchy wants to control the pace but Star Platinum is squirming around nicely. Schlong checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Soda moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Schlong connects with a body shot that sends Soda's belly button to the back. Schlong takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

William Snowdon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maldonado throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
