Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Sapo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Art Mcgowan! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Mcgowan. Sapo's coaches at Ryōzanpaku Dojo have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Sapo controls the position for a moment. Sapo struggling a bit here. Mcgowan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Mcgowan tries to move to mount but Sapo blocks the move with his legs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcgowan tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Sapo is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Sapo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mcgowan tries to stand but Sapo is controlling his head. Sapo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mcgowan decides to stand back up. Mcgowan steps back and let's Sapo get back to his feet. A leg kick checked by Sapo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sapo cracks Mcgowan with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Sapo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Mcgowan to stand back up! It looks like Art Mcgowan has been cut. Mcgowan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sapo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sapo is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Sapo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Mcgowan moves forwards but Sapo connects with a nice, crisp jab. Sapo fakes the body blow, causing Mcgowan to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Mcgowan goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, George Pierre! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chumbo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pierre. Pierre ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chumbo moves away. Pierre drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Chumbo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pierre avoids it really well and circles away. Pierre changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. The fighters circle momentarily. Chumbo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Pierre walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pierre misses with a hook. Chumbo ducked under it nicely. Chumbo fails with a takedown attempt. Pierre thows a left - swing and a miss! Chumbo feinted with a counter takedown. Pierre lands a jab to the nose.

Pierre takes one to the chin there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice takedown defense from Pierre. No joy for Chumbo on that attempt. Chief Chumbo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chumbo scores with a jab. Pierre acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Chumbo dodges the punch combination from Pierre.
Pierre throws a shot from downtown. Chumbo moves away and avoids it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chumbo is defended easily by Pierre. Chumbo staying out of range there. George Pierre is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pierre misses with an uppercut.

Pierre throws a lazy right hand but Chumbo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pierre connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Chumbo pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pierre lands a left and a right that send Chumbo crashing to the mat, dazed. Pierre thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Chumbo is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chumbo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Oh Chumbo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Chumbo misses with a straight left. Chumbo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pierre to the mat! Pierre manages to get full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pierre seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Chumbo with a flurry of punches that miss. Pierre is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. It looks like Pierre is going to stand back up.
Chumbo seems to have got his legs back now. Pierre lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Pierre controlling the pace. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pierre not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Chumbo wants to control but Pierre is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A quick uppercut on the inside from St. Gough. Long tries to break free but St. Gough pushes him back against the cage. St. Gough lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Long backwards. Long is rocked! St. Gough creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Long with a big uppercut! Long tries to clinch up but St. Gough pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Long to the mat! Long covers up and St. Gough unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Odd Hansen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Freddy Barnes! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hansen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. We've been hearing reports that Hansen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Barnes scores with the left hand. Hansen knows he should have avoided that one. Hansen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Barnes looks to land a left hand but Hansen moved out of range nicely. Hansen with a poor takedown and Barnes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hansen with a lazy takedown attempt and Barnes counters with a nice body shot. Barnes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hansen sees it coming and avoids it easily. Barnes lands with an uppercut that bounces Hansen off the cage and back into range. Odd Hansen's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Hansen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Barnes connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hansen's hands. Hansen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barnes's waist but Barnes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hansen off to one side. Barnes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hansen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Barnes scores with a nice right hand.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Barnes throws out a powerful jab. Odd Hansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hansen misses with a takedown attempt and Barnes counters with a nice uppercut. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Barnes digs a good body shot into Hansen's ribs.

And that's the end of the fight! Freddy Barnes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Barnes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
