The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammerfall swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Spanner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hammerfall lands the left hand. It looks like Bleeding Spanner has been cut. Spanner takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Spanner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hammerfall avoids the head kick by Spanner.
Spanner uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hammerfall. Spanner raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. A head kick misses from Spanner. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Damba misses. Donk. Damba catches Terrorelli right on the button with a cross. A telegraphed right hand from Damba misses the target. Terrorelli thumps Damba with a low kick. Terrorelli connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Damba momentarily.
Terrorelli works Damba's body with a nice hook. Damba throws the left hand but Terrorelli avoids the punch easily. Terrorelli lands a head kick. Damba smiles back at him and beckons him forward. I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Terrorelli throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Damba looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Damba moves into full guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Terrorelli holds on and takes a little breather. Terrorelli keeping moving, preventing Damba from controlling successfully. Terrorelli looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Damba puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Damba is looking for a kimura but Terrorelli is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Damba to get the leverage. Terrorelli wants to control but Damba is keeping busy and won't allow it. Terrorelli wants to improve his position but Damba is controlling well.

Terrorelli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Terrorelli takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Terrorelli lands a few punches from side control. Terrorelli creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Damba sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Damba takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. An elbow from Terrorelli crashes against the mat.

Akinwande is looking to wear down Wanker with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Wanker misses with a right hand and Akinwande counters with a nice leg kick. Massive Wanker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wanker loads up on a big right hand but Akinwande slips the punch. It looked like Akinwande was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Wanker.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wanker jabbing away but nothing is landing. Akinwande swings widly with a right hand
and Wanker counters with a leg kick. Wanker takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Akinwande half committed to a counter leg kick. Akinwande slips a jab from Wanker. Akinwande wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Akinwande's jab looks to have found its range, popping Wanker under the eye. Wanker checks a leg kick nicely. Akinwande fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Akinwande with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wanker to score with a decent uppercut. Akinwande takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Akinwande looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Akinwande throws a leg kick but Wanker sees it coming and checks it nicely. Wanker lands with a slapping head kick. Wanker throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Akinwande counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wanker's knee momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Akinwande on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Wanker forces Akinwande back against the cage and clinches. Wanker lands with a right to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Akinwande misses with a punch on the inside.
Wanker pushes Akinwande back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Wanker throws a punch but it's blocked by Akinwande. Wanker's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
