The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
IV checks a leg kick nicely.

IV looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

We've been hearing that IV has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

IV is really struggling to control Banger but he's trying to hold on to the position.
IV thows a huge punch but Banger dodges it nicely.
IV thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Banger's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

IV is trying to control the action in half guard but Banger is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Banger looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
IV prevents Banger from improving his position.
IV winds up and cracks Banger with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
IV tries to pass the half guard into mount. Banger knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
IV is nestled in close to Banger, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
IV has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Banger jabs IV right on the nose. IV blinks but takes it well.

IV has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Banger finds it's way round the side to connect with IV's head.

IV breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

IV is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Banger can do to turn this around?

IV shoots in and bounces Banger off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
IV in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

IV throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Banger works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Banger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

IV cracks Banger with a big right hand but Banger just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Charlie IV overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
IV lands a strong strike to the head of Banger. That's dazed him! IV looking to finish here. Banger is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - IV lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Robson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Chungus.
Robson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Chungus feints a jab promting Robson to slip. Chungus then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Robson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Chungus has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Chungus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Robson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've been told by Robson's head coaches at Team Grunt that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Chungus moves in looking to clinch but Robson pushes him off.
Robson appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Chungus bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Robson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The fighters circling - Robson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Robson closes the distance and pushes Chungus back into the cage.
Chungus wants to stall.
A short body shot lands from Robson as the two fighters clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Robson.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
