And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Felipe Garotinho!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McAlroy throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Garotinho counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Garotinho is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Garotinho is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Garotinho wants to control from the top but McAlroy keeps moving.

Garotinho drops back looking for a leg! McAlroy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McAlroy manages to kick Garotinho off! Garotinho jumps back into McAlroy's guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
McAlroy fails to land with a series of punches.
McAlroy pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Garotinho back to the cage. McAlroy follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Felipe Garotinho has been cut.
McAlroy fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Garotinho displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McAlroy throws out the jab.

McAlroy slaps away a takedown attempt from Garotinho, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Garotinho has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Garotinho gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! McAlroy gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
