Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lin sprawls well. Lin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
Lin is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Silva had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Lin feints a jab promting Silva to slip. Lin then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Silva slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
and Lin counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Silva! He's just covering up as Lin starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

We've been hearing reports that Pekkala has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Akhtar Assad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pekkala gets cracked there but stands up to it.
