Day pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Irwin drops down looking for a counter takedown but Day sprawls and moves away.

Day plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Irwin closes the distance and clinches up with Day, looking for a takedown. Irwin pushes Day against the cage but Day circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Irwin darts in looking for a takedown but Day gets double underhooks and turns Irwin into the cage.
Day looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Irwin drops his hands momentarily and Day needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Irwin just on the top of the head. Irwin drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Irwin - he's done!

Enkhtulga is pressed up against the cage. Cartwright has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Enkhtulga down to the mat. Enkhtulga avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Cartwright looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Enkhtulga is fending him off so far but Cartwright persists. Nope, Enkhtulga circles away and we're back to standing.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Bates might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
