With a record of 29 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Semmy Cobb! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cobb throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Shabanov is looking to counter punch. Cobb lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Cobb. A shot to the liver by Cobb. Beautiful body shot. Cobb lands a right hook to the body.
A combination from Cobb does no damage. Cobb throws an overhand right that lands on Shabanov's shoulder, as Shabanov tries to avoid the shot. Cobb throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cobb fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Cobb throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

A relieved looking Fedor Shabanov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. James Quin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sparbot 3 throwing strikes but missing, from side control. An elbow from Sparbot 3 crashes against the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sparbot 3 works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Quin tries to strike but it doesn't land. Sparbot 3 throws a strike aimed at the side of Quin's head but Quin avoids it well. An elbow from Sparbot 3 crashes against the mat.

But no, Quin has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sparbot 3 but great work by Quin. Sparbot 3 is looking for a sweep. Sparbot 3 looks to move to half guard but instead Quin has passed into mount! Damn! Sparbot 3 is trying desperately to improve position. Sparbot 3 keeps trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sparbot 3 gets back to half guard. Sparbot 3 is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Quin pulls his head out easily. Sparbot 3 looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sparbot 3 looking for submissions off his back. Sparbot 3 is looking for a sweep. Quin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Retired Sparbot 3 comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sparbot 3 has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dead catches Randalman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Dead swings for the body but Randalman moves out of range.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Randalman has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Randalman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dead is just riding it out for now. Randalman eventually gives up the hold. Torsten fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lomax manages to avoid it. Lomax takes one to the chin there. Lomax thuds a left hand into Torsten's body. Torsten throws a solid leg kick but Lomax takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Torsten. Torsten cracks Lomax with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Lomax was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Torsten slips under a jab. Torsten feinted there with a counter leg kick. Torsten lands with an overhand left. Torsten throws a body kick that misses. Torsten throws a big shot that misses. Lomax's jab looks to have found its range, popping Torsten under the eye.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Baldur Torsten's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Vincent Lomax! Vincent Lomax is the new light heavyweight champion! Vincent Lomax decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
