Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Tino Takala! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 31 - 31 - 0, fighting out of London, Cyrius Python! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Python fails with the takedown and Takala counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. It looks like Cyrius Python has been cut. Takala moves into the clinch successfully.
Takala scores with a shot to the side of Python's head. Takala leaning his opponent against the cage. Takala tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Python's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A short right from Takala. Takala controlling the action here for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Python blocking some punches.
Python has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Takala uses from the top position. Python is adopting a defensive guard.

Python is pushing down on Takala's leg trying to pass to half guard. Takala is fighting to maintain full guard but Python has managed to sneak the leg through. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Takala is staying active underneath Python, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Brook is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carvalho is just riding it out for now. Brook eventually gives up the hold. Brook thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carvalho's head.

That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Brook!
